This song is so beautiful...even when others sing it...but one has to admit that whenever it was performed by Bishop Walter Hawkins, you immediately recognize it as his "signature" song. That's what's so special about both Edwin and Walter. They melodiously sing and don't have to do a lot of hollering and screaming. From the very beginning their music was so elevated to a spirit that makes you feel so close to God. I am so thankful that many of us are able to listen and feel the anointing.

What I really like about him he always gave glory to God before he sings his song. He always said “ Praise the Lord everybody.’ And if he you didn’t say it loud enough he would say it again, Praise the Lord everybody.’ He always gave reverence to God. I Had a chance to meet Brother Walter once. I was at a music workshop and I just so happened to be at a booth purchasing one of his CD's... the one where he's wearing a powder blue suit with a huge afro. Just then he walked up... I pointed to the CD and he just kinda smirked and shook his head. As long as I have been saved, there has been Walter and Family to encourage me... I'm already missing you brother.

Bishop Hawkins touched so many people's lives both near and far. Many of us already knew how we felt about him and the entire family over the years, but I think that we really get this very special emotion when we read and hear so many stories from people who met him and also from ones who wished they had. It certainly reminds me of how Michael Jackson did the same thing through his music and humanitarianism. The Hawkins family must know that we have always loved them and always will.
