It’s been 3 years since this interview and we’re seeing the highest frequency of injuries from pitchers this year in the MLB. Most being season-ending injuries requiring TJ. Bauer and a few others saw it coming from a mile away, and ofc the MLB didn’t.
@turdle694206 ай бұрын
dont be naive. The frequency of injuries to the pitchers is solely due to analytics and analytics alone. Realistically, you could probably break it down further to revolutions being the cause for almost all of these issues.
@MicoJoe6 ай бұрын

This right here is why he is blackballed. He called out the league for its sticky stuff problem and said they were doing nothing about it which they weren't. And he said if they don't start doing something about it he's going to start doing it and he's going to do it better than everyone else. Which he did. Because he's borderline legitimate genius. And in my opinion possibly borderline on the spectrum. People can say all day long it's his clubhouse behavior but there have been far far far far far worse people such as Milton Bradley who never got blackballed from the league. Is domestic abuse claims were bulshit. This is clearly what the reason is. He made the shitbag commissioner look stupid by simply telling the truth.

The MLB didn't want Trevor bringing these issues to the public's attention because... well look no further than when the Astros cheated and won the World Series, _and got to keep their title_ afterwards. Myself and many fans swore off watching baseball for good after that because cheating is inherently broken-- but in MLB, cheating is a part of the game. I can remember breaking the news about the Astros cheating to my grandpa, and i remember him saying "yeah! Good for them!" And I was like "no... they don't deserve the title." And he thought about it and nodded in agreement. This was a baseball fan of 60+ years, and I remembered that saying specifically pertaining to baseball, "if you're not cheating you're not trying." And when you look back at alllll of the teams that have cheated in MLB history to win the World Series, the MLB can't take the Astros' title away, when so many teams have cheated and won in the past and kept their titles. You'd be rewriting MLB history... but you cant rewrite history because it's the entire legacy of the sport. Nothing would matter at that point, or very little. It's best for the MLB, its history of cheating and the unfair advantages that are a part of the game today if it all just never gets brought up at all... because this conversation leads to a bigger issue for the MLB: The league is for entertainment value only-- not to be taken seriously as a legitimate competition.
