40 years ago, November, 1983, a Philadelphia radio station played "Our song" which I heard and YES had returned after 3 years with 90125. I saw YES with Trevor 17 times over the 4 tour cycles 1984, 87, 91, and Talk 1994. I missed the Can't Look Away and ARW tours. RIO so far has been great! I like Trevor's attitude and music ideas. I recall the influx of New YES fans with 90125. Over the years , I have gotten to know the ones who got to know the classic YES period, and like myself continue to follow YES, and Trevor through today! Thanks Barry, and Trevor!

Great interview for the channel. Huge fan of the Rabin-era of Yes and the advance tracks from Rio are excellent. His singing somehow sounds stronger than ever. It’s good to have him back in a rock context. Can’t wait to hear the full album.

Great interview Barry. Rabin's Yes period is my favorite. I started with 90125 but consider the best Yes album Talk. Rabin is a fantastic artist and has a powerful voice that you can hear on all of the 4 albums he does with Yes. I need to check out his new album.

I loved the Talk album and saw that tour twice, including the opening night of the tour in Binghamton NY. The place was only half full and it was a pretty small arena. I saw them there for the Big Generator tour and I don’t think you could’ve put another person in there it was so jammed. The second time I saw them on the Talk tour they did Purple Haze in the encore and it was amazing. Still remember them stopping and the crowd singing the “excuse me while I kiss the sky” part, it was amazing. Bravado, my favorite Rush song, especially the live version of Different Stages.

As a massive long-time Yes and TR fan, it was amazing to see the ARW tour. Top class musicians, playing top class music. Seen many Yes tours, with many lineups , including the 90125 tour, and the Union tour at Wembley. Quite probably the best live show I've ever seen.

Excellent interview. Mr. Rabin is incredible. My youth pastor in 1984 gave me the 90125 album and I have been a fan ever since. I was 14 years old in 1984. Was able to see him on Talk tour and then with ARW, that one with my wife and our oldest son, his first live concert. Many happy memories. Bless you all.

Really enjoyed this! As always, you manage to ask the burning questions that fans want to know but corporate journalists never seem to think of (90125 deluxe, a definitive statement on ARW recordings) while also asking about lesser known parts of the artist's history, prompting unique stories.

Trevor s such an ego-less superb-latively talented person, and extremely polite and kind on top off it all. How can this man not be an inspiration for modern guitarists who strive for a personal and intimate style of their own? Cause, when i hear Trevor s playing, i hear a man who has found his voice for music overall looking within. Thats why his ideas, wich may not be die hard old ass yes fans cup of tea, cant be disregarded or linked with mediocre or even easy success grabbing, as many 80s guitarists did with their music. Trevor sounds like him, and its always his most honest and uttmost best the way he delivers, always thorough in search for quality (Yes s TALK s such a monstrously classy LP, utterly neat). He s the embodiment of high quality fearlessness as a musician.

Enjoyable interview. Loved the ARW show when I saw it here in Connecticut. It's too bad they aren't doing anything and I think a recorded album might have been welcome. He played on a couple of Manfred Mann's Earth Band records back in the day that I think are great but mostly forgotten now. I'd loved to have heard him talk about that experience.

Oh heck yes!! Saw the Talk Tour with some buddies at Red Rocks in Colorado back in '94. Whatever the politics were that might have surrounded the band at the time, they still took our butts to school and knocked us out! Speaking of rearranging older material with Trevor in the band, at one point Tony did a pretty atmospheric and heartfelt piano feature, probably not as amazing as Rick would have done, but Tony himself slid right into the opening chords to "And You And I". But I could talk about that show all damn day. John was joking with us about having to sing way up in our Mile High altitude, but he nearly went hard rock on us with "City Of Love". Sorry, I could go on and on. They did close the first set with "Heart of the Sunrise"!!

It was great hearing Trevor Rabin. I'd been a marginal YES fan thru the 70's but when 90215 came out, I was massively hooked & listened to that album daily thru 1983 & much of 1984 & bought all the 12 inch singles. (I also really like Big Generator, which I've found most Yes fans hate.) I wish you'd gotten Trevor to speak more about Jack Bruce because I never tire of of stories about him. Have you ever interviewed Kip Hanrahan???? I'd think he would be a GREAT interview & would love to hear of his work with Jack Bruce & especially about the album or EP "A Few Short Notes for The End Run" from 1986. The song "Too Still in Half Light" was done with Jack Bruce & had a total of 3 bassists & it's always stuck with me. Sadly I've never been able to find that EP.

Supposedly, there's a 20-minute demo version of the song "Cinema" in the vaults. What I wish that Yes would/could do is have some sort of truce between the current version of Yes and Trevor and Jon A., and have them work with Tony Kaye, Billy Sherwood and Jay (filling in for Chris and Alan) to finish the 20-minute version of "Cinema" and release it.

Great video .... great artist ... saw him in Aberdeen in late '70's as a support act promoting his About Face album ... still have the badge! ... re ARW ... the music on the live album is great ... but the clumsy mixing with of the crowd noise is really irritating detracting greatly from the enjoyment of the release ... I would love a remix that "fixes" the mix ... I'd buy that .... CMcG, Aberdeen, Scotland
