Talk is an amazingly produced album. The best Yes ever did. To me Yes will always involve Trevor Rabin.

I've been a Yes fan for a long time,, saw them 30 plus times. I do not play any instruments but it was so cool to listen to Trevor talk about arrangements ,the process of creating music. I remember so many concerts seeing Chris playing which was so magical and Mr White on the drums, both are missed . Best of health and continue creating great music Trevor you are one of the best and you gave so much to Yes when it needed a boost. To the host of this video, great job and thanks for posting, very enjoyably

If the 'Talk' hard drives were being continually backed up onto DAT and extensive notes re board settings were taken, is it a possibility that on, say, the 35th anniversary of 'Talk' an immersive remix could be done? The extra live content included in the 30th anniversary edition was cool, but (especially as Trevor did good 5.1 mixes of the Rio album) surely the album multitracks could be reconstituted and fresh mixes done? The music is truly outstanding and so merits this. Please think about it!

What a gift Trevor is to music (and life). He should be the most celebrated musician of our times. Is there anything at all the man doesn't absolutely excel at? He has the guitar chops of Steve Morse, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Chet Atkins, Brent Mason, etc all wrapped into his own style. He's as good a keyboardist as any that has been in Yes (and that is saying a lot). He has the pop songwriting chops of Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Phil Collins, Sting, etc. He has the style and swagger of Michael Hutchence. He has the voice of the likes of Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Sammy Hagar, Mickey Thomas, etc. He has the composer shops of Leonard Bernstein, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, etc. He has the Producer chops of people like Steven Wilson, Trevor Horn, Mutt Lange, etc. Plus, he seems to be an amazing family man and father. His son Ryan is a force himself. I mean...WHY?!?!? is he not the most celebrated man in music?? I'll tell you why. He is a humble, kind, empathetic, honest and good man. That right there is the mic drop.

@@beachhunting69 Great continuity....I listen to the whole album the old fashioned way...so good, a classic 😎 (btw....Im a 56 year old song writer....I think im 3 decades too late to the game...so hard to get new music heard these days....but it is a passion ) "Sing for the same reason the bird sings" Zen proverb 🖖Cant wait to hear Trevor's new one in its entirety.

I think it’s a great album - every song. Especially considering Rabin played every instrument. His personal “stamp” on the Yes material was what Yes needed to catapult back into limelight for 90125

Really cool interview with Trevor. As well as its sentimental value, I think what ranks his Stratocaster above all other guitars is that when you train and play so much on one instrument and work with it to solve issues it becomes a part of your playing style in many ways. Also, the middle pickup is a Bill Lawrence L-250, which doesn’t just sound like a hybrid of a single coil & humbucker, but sounds better than both put together. When it’s blended via a 5-way switch it adds very smooth high-end to those Seymour Duncans. The quality of the three of those pickups together is astonishing, and the range of ‘voices’ you get from various blends of them at different volumes and tones is limitless, and unlike a lot of standard pickups these particular pickups maintain their characteristics through whatever effects you’re using. For example, on “Hold On,” the distinct sound of Trevor’s lead at the intro is coming from that red Seymour Duncan hot stack at the neck. A couple of effects like a little bit of flanger or overdrive is all you need to enhance it, but even without effects the sound of that part is all there. All the rest of it of course is coming from Trevor.

I had one of Trevors guitars from his Rabbitt days in SA. It was a 62 ES 335 which had a broken headstock. I repaired it and it was on its way back to its owner.

All the history I know of YES, never knew Chris wanted that line up. I thought it was Alan, Chris, Trevor, then tony.....after became Yes with Jon. That would have been a weird looking stage with The Trevor's singing.
