Protecting guns is protecting the right of the people to respond against a corrupt government, or invasion, or criminal. Liberals dont realize that you CANNOT control people. Evil will always exist in the world, and you cannot stop a criminal from doing bad things. There are laws in place it's not like we allow murder in the USA. Stuff like this happens. Take guns away and people will just find alternative ways to hurt each other or create a black market of guns and still shoot each other. Same reason why the 1st amendment exists freedom of speech. People have the right to say whatever they want. Kkk rally's happened. They are wrong nobody likes them. But those people can believe in whatever they want. They have a right to be wrong. @amsnek61625 жыл бұрын
Here, he was referring to how the amendment was created in a very different time period. When applied the way it was created in today’s world, it kinda doesn’t hold up. Just because something was made 200 years ago, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s sacred; don’t get me wrong, our constitution IS sacred, but times change, and the world is in motion. If a world where it isn’t incredibly easy to obtain a deadly weapon makes you feel that violated, maybe the problem is on your end. That last part sounded condescending, which I didn’t intend. You clearly don’t agree with Trevor, so why come to this video and take to this comment section? You aren’t going to find many like-minded people here.
@sirmount26365 жыл бұрын
Am snek 616 The Constitution doesn’t give us any rights. It merely protects them. If you read the Bill of Rights clearly, you’ll notice that none of them say the government grants us rights. Rather, it protects our rights that we have by virtue of our humanity. (Human rights, sometimes called civil rights.) And I’ve never subscribed to the idea that limiting our civil rights makes us safer. It doesn’t. London doesn’t have guns yet in Feb, 2017, murders in London actually SURPASSED the murder rate in NYC! Imagine that! That tells me that it isn’t the weapon, it’s the person. Maybe we should start there. Lastly, the argument that the Bill of Rights is old and therefore invalid is simply foolish. Protections for religion and freedom of speech and the police needing a warrant were created at the same time. Are THOSE invalid? Should we begin limiting Muslims and Muslim teachings because a few maniacs used Islam as an excuse to murder hundreds of people? No. Of course not. With almost every social problem, the solution is more liberty. More freedom. Not less.
@ZennExile5 жыл бұрын
@@amsnek6162 It does hold up now more than ever. The Second Amendment has the same problem vaccines have. Sometimes you're just an idiot in the way, especially when you have not the faintest idea what you're talking about. He make a complex issue sound easy, and it's not. Because by doing what's proposed to restrict guns you harm only those who legally get them, the good people who follow the law, and the ones who need them. Because I'm willing to bet thos Noah guy doesn't know what it's like to need one, or be in a situation that needs one,and some people do. Can't an issue be acknowledged no matter the side be handled in a mature way rather than an irrational one? When I see this stuff happen, it's like the blame videogames ideology. Yet studies show that there's no link between violent videogames and irl violent tendencies. But people are quick to blame videogames and guns. You know where there is a link? He may have been sincere, but I don't agree with his point. Please read this entirely to see whether or not you truly agree with me. Trevor stated many things that the government has tried to do to make things safer. First of all, the word try indicates failure. That being said, it may be true to a certain extent that some of these things have actually become safer. But the one thing that all of these attempts have 100% done is create income for the government through taxation and licensing. This comes only at the cost of the legally abiding citizens like us, and not at the cost of those who don’t care to follow the rules in the first place. And these disasters continue regardless. Sure, we are supposed to get a license to drive. My mother didn't have a license but that didn't prevent her from jumping behind the wheel of my car while high on heroine and trying to run over what she thought was a gremlin. The gremlin was actually me by the way. I was unharmed but she was not. You don’t try to put a band-aid on someone and then charge them a fortune for the license to use that band-aid. In a more realistic example, you wouldn’t charge a homeless person for the privilege of receiving a free meal. You offer the meal, and maybe some support or education to help them learn how to better their situation. Encouragement even. True caring without a price tag is received by all humans way more than forced compliance for which we also have to pay a fee. We need true community outreach. How about PSAs teaching the importance of firearm safety and respect. How about addressing the issue at the core by providing resources for children to have extra-curricular activities, like access to recreational facilities and programs, at no cost? Give people an actual reason to enjoy life and build real social networks instead of letting them fester in the frustration of having a lack of purpose that builds to cause them to act out in negative ways. Giving true compassion. This is how people learn to care for each other. How about firearm safety training and educational opportunities for young people at no cost? I’m not saying give kids free guns, but teach them about the respect for all things that Trevor was talking about that could be considered dangerous. I am glad that he is passionate about something and obviously cares about the lives that have been destroyed but don't be fooled. We need to remove the ignorance and quit giving the government ideas on how to make more money while making it more difficult for those who actually do care and respect the human race. Again I’m talking about the law abiding citizens. Eliminate the problem through education and compassion. Don’t create more problems, and then charge the good people for the “right” to be good. I am truly sorry that one of these tragedies occurred in your home town. I live in Las Vegas so I do understand the feeling. Peace to you and yours.

The sad thing is that this will quickly be forgotten by anyone who wasn't directly affected by these tragic events. After all, no one really talks about the Vegas shooting, or the Parkland shooting. Well not exactly, I carry concealed every day. You don’t confront evil with a “gun free zone” sign. The American public has been lied to that laws can keep them safe. Every citizen in both these instances had every right to be armed and to train and be able to return fire. They elected not to, they elected to delegate their safety to someone else. Some times the problem with freedom is people are free to make the wrong choice.

In lodonistan they have no problem committing mass murder without guns, they just use vehicles and knives, only a lemming who avoids the truth that's contrary to their feelings can be for gun control
