What a strange interview: 1. Sinclair doubles down on his position with no remorse for his poor timing. Some interesting points but there is a time and a place. Just after the queens death is not the time to ask these questions and he shows no reflection on this. Also he was so proud of his Irish / Jamaican heritage he opted to represent the country he despises as racist. 2. This interviewer offers no probing questions or challenge to Sinclairs comments or explanation to why people found this offensive. He seems grateful to have these guests and doesn’t want to upset them with cold hard facts

It was a valid question, I didn’t mourn the queen myself but mourned or the symbol she represented but I mourned a kind figure who I grew up with. However, the timing was not good. Should have waited or worded it differently. ‘How are black and brown people feeling…’ or ‘are black and brown people mourning…’ there were different ways to approach it.

Turning the death of the queen, a woman who served the country for over 70 years, as a reason to shout about racism was an absolute disgrace. He deserved to be sacked. ADR but the reason for Clarkson surviving is because he is a thousand times more popular than Trevor. Also, everything he puts out is from his own production company so there's no one to sack him. Ultimately, Trevor doesn't accept his own stupidity in tweeting an anti-monarchy message upon the death of a much-loved monarch of 70+ years. That is not the same as Clarkson's fantasies regarding Meghan Markle. Trevor goes hard on the idea that a sign reading 'No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs' was hung on every guest house door when this simply isn't true. Racism is rightly criminalised and it is frustrating to witness its continued existence, but whilst I'm sure it had a detrimental effect on his mother's well-being it's a stretch to explain her alcoholism and premature death. It might be that it's easier for Trevor to blame society than to acknowledge that his father's absence may have played a part in her demise. Most damning of all, he attributes his sacking from the BBC to the tweet when, in fact, it was because of his arrest In November 2017 on suspicion of drink driving, common assault and criminal damage after a woman was hit by a car. The following year he was convicted of drink driving, urinating in a police car and racially abusing a police officer by calling him a 'white cunt'. Poor little Trevor.
