@masokotanga73563 жыл бұрын
Yes! NBCSN was better, to me anyway. ESPN is pure horsesht. I miss NBCSN for the fact there wasn't really any other sport to muddy the airwaves. ESPN has other major sports that take priority over hockey. It doesn't feel the same since hockey isn't the black sheep on network television..

Retained salary is both money and cap hit. (Not just for helping GMs to build rosters, but also for owners to save money). For example, Toronto traded Phil Kessel after year 1 of an 8yr, $8M per and retained 15%. So Toronto has had $1.2M count against their cap for 7yrs, while Pittsburgh/Arizona have only had him on the books for $6.8M. So, with Kessel in the last year of his deal right now and likely to be a rental player for a contender, the new team that acquires him will be absorbing his cap hit of $6.8M (provided Arizona doesn’t also retain salary in the trade).

It would be nice for a change to hear Ryan Whitney explain why he fell out of the NHL like I remember one moment he was one of the top Defenders the next moment he was borderline out of the NHL and left that season and I'm pretty sure he was with emptin I would like to know what the heck happened I didn't hear if it was an injury or not or what lack of passion for the game at the time it would be really nice to know where or what happened there because one moment he's one of the best the next moment he's retiring I was so confused and lost
