Seriously, not a day has gone by since before over 4 years ago, when I accidently heard Dimash sing this song by opening the "wrong" video, that I don't listen to this song several times and don't get completely overwhelmed emotionally, just like the first time. Of course, this is true about other Dimash's songs as well, but this one (although another performance) just happens to be the one that introduced him to me.

I accidentally discovered Dimash 5 days ago and have been watching every video of his that I can access. Obviously his voice is amazing and what he does with it is incredible. His performances are mesmerising. I really enjoy watching his audiences' reactions to him. Women and men cry. I must see him perform. I'm sure I won't be the only 70+ year old in the audience! Welcome to Dimash world! You haven’t seen anything jet!!! This is about 1/3 or so what he can do! Please react to the same songs but from different places and times because he changes them a bit every time please also watch the hole videos through because something might happen just that time…(Like Dimash hitting a D8!!! Yepp higher then the piano can go!!!) It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him. Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English). Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night. Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to. Every song that Dimash does, even if it is the same one, is never the same. Please keep watching his performances. He sings, acts, knows martial arts, speaks several languages, plays a whole lot of instruments, and he is the most loving humanitarian in the world of music that promotes and fights for peace and unity around the world. His "Dears" absolutely love him, and he gives it back in a million different ways. In many stage performances his massive audience sings with him, and he encourages them to. I give you one more performance and I guarantee you will be a "Dear" too, Sir. :)

Dimash...the greatest vocalist I have ever heard in my 81+ years on this planet. My only negative in this version is that the music overpowers Dimash, and too many of his musical subtleties are lost. His original 2017 performance is still the best, IMHO. Nice reaction.

​@@brianhenn9872 I don't know if you guys are from the west but I am from the UK and since discovering Dimash 2 years ago I've discovered how much we in the west differ from the rest of the world in being resistant to new music, whether it's from outside of our own countries or just outside of a genre that we are familiar with. The thing I find truly great with him is that he refuses to tie himself into a genre, he just experiments with sound and being an independent artist he can do exactly what he likes when he likes. We never know what he's going to come up with next.

What can I say about Dimash that I haven't written in my Unforgettabale Day comment. He is simply indescribable, unique and an incredibly great and versatile artist😅. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was Dimashs‘ first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among other countries. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. I think it was very diffiult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). The other competitiors might not have taken Dimash seriously at first because of his age and that they didn’t know him but that quickly changed after the performance of SOS, as you can see. Through his honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. It’s really worth seeing his „older“ videos. If you want to see another awesome song then I recommend Stranger. Here you can hear a large of his vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobyz. The kobyz is a very old Kazakh folk instrument and it’s spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. You're on point; it's my guess as well. "Alien" music - so Angelic. His voice is eons removed from the Classical Rock era of the late 60s - early 70s. He is more an artist than singer because he is a creator. With the help of his ranges, techniques, genres, styles and multiple vocal colours combination, he creates different landscapes to the audience everytime he sings. And it was such a vivid visualisation too, each song’s different one from another. If you want something in English then I would recommend Stranger. If you are open to something completely different from Dimash then I would recommend Samaltau.
