In my area houston (big city) these honda elites and zuma prebugs are incredibly hard to get deals on they sell super fast like within the hr of being posted I landed a 2000 purple elite 50 sr 2 weeks ago I got in a bidding war thing ran up to 1300$ be guy said come get it give u 1 owner all paper work and titles in hand all stock ! Took me 5 years to find one with a title and stock ... lol places like Cali and AZ they seem to be more available I guess you would call it more of them way cheaper not in texas though

normal 50cc 2 stroke should go 40mph..... without anything blocking on varioator.... just get sport exhoust it will go almost 50mph

@@teun3526 it is, engine was rebuild with new crankshaft and bearings on 15kkm because was crap from the factory, and still working today, with original cylinder and piston I was doing a lot 300-400-500-600km road trips with that scooter with no fear, always on full throttle

So i scored a elite 50 sr i know thats the unrestricted US model . With there being so many damn options you can do with af16e and all the af18 parts from japan and overseas . You think a variator is even worth it gains wise . My thought is keep it stock until it needs a top end . Thinkin yellow contra , variators and rollers maybe a fresh clutch. Just not sure which variator readup the polini and malossi seem to be the go to and some say kelly . BUT overseas it seems alot of the dio af18 guys run TWH brand parts . What ya think ? Also noticed theres a couple different size variators for the af16/af18 which and why ? Im all ears on this

I have a Roma superhornet 150 that was doing the same thing. I'm not a tinkerer myself so I just paid to have the carb cleaned and tuned. Works just fine now

The unrestricted model for US is the Honda elite 50 Sr ! Mine stock runs 40 ish + !

Motivate me to put upgrades on the Scooter? I just brought a Brand spanking New Suzuki V-strom, the scooters going to have to beg for attention... actually no, it needs to come apart to get some new rear wheel bearings, some plastic repairs, the restrictor was taken out very quickly, the exhaust may get changed. and I think I may have some jets to try. But the Main focus at this point is putting a Top box, Panyards and maybe some better foot pegs on the V-Strom

There are no spare parts in Germany either, which is why I had to adapt a pocket bike carburettor to the elite-e engine 😂😂😂 maybe a Peugeot speedfight exhaust will also fit the elite-e

they don’t make much aftermarket for elite e because it’s the af05 engine, you’re better of swapping it with an af16 engine if you want more speed

What i would do: Unrestricted CDI, remove the restrictor plate / ring from the variator if there is one (improves top speed) + use lighter rolls (should improve acceleration). You could also go for a complete sport variator like a malossi multivar. Also check if the valve clearance of the engine is on spec. That is according to my knowledge though and I can’t say if it will have much effect on your specific bike. Hope this helps
