Nice vid! I always find it odd that new pilots like to put a motor on their back, long before they obviously have the concept of inflations learned(me included). I've never had any luck, using brakes for correction, until A's are released and glider overhead, during forward launch. Brakes don't seem to work, without proper loading. I've tried and it cost me some lines. My goto is no brakes (only foot work), until A's are released and glider is overhead. Reverse launch is different, as the glider can be loaded as it comes up. With enough wind speed, its fun to hardly even use A's and walk the glider up with brakes. It helps you can see it, rather than being blind during forwards. Please, correct me if I'm mistaken.

Thank you for these. I don't fly (yet) but I love nerding out on videos like this. May I ask something and see if I'm right? #1. After turning around it also looks like his hands are way out in front of him. Is he pulling brakes unintentionally by doing so?

yes. its common for new pilots to try and lead with the brakes. Its also common to turn in a manner that drops the arms unevenly. I've done a bad turn or two before. Same as landing. Seems our dominant hand likes to do more than the other, w/o us even realizing it.

That looks like the velocity edge. That was my first wing and I thought it was trash, ESPECIALLY compared to the newer ozone wings

Was my first one too. Wouldn’t exactly call it trash (7 years ago anyway) but it did inflate like a wet tarp 😁

I had the paratoys 2 30 meter...that wing was a bitch to inflate..heavy wing

Why do you not fly above 6 mph? 15 mph is doable on flats and 10 mph in mountains.
