Honestly, I completely disagree with the implications of the video. It’s trying to claim that only rich people can be financially educated, or financially focused/motivated, and also that it’s somehow “uncool” to care about your income and investments. I 100% disagree
@charlesg7926
@charlesg7926 2 жыл бұрын
Basically the video is trying to weirdly force classism and elitism where it doesn’t need to exist. At age 18 my parents kicked me out, with no help, no money and not even a car. I didn’t do college. Now at age 29, I own 3 rental homes and make over 200,000 a year

@christopherlee7334

@@charlesg7926 it's actually the exact opposite? The rich kid doesn't know a thing about finance and investment and is just as caught up in financial fads and hype as everyone else, can't tell the difference between loss and gain, and doesn't even know what an IPO is. He has a non existent relationship with his father, only lives as well as he does because of nepotism, and can't get into any relationships, but still puts on an arrogant financial know-it-all act to hide the numerous psychological issues he's ignoring.

@Petrzmolik
@Petrzmolik 2 жыл бұрын
Don't forget that his parents most likely had rich parents too and so it goes on.. but didn't blow it (money, not coke), and passed it onto their kids whose kids will be the same.. idk I don't see generational wealth as a bad thing, people should try to be financially stable before they make kids, it's the most difficult decision of one's life. And I know you never said anything negative against generational wealth, i'm just talking in general, because it seems like people today celebrate when people are born into struggle, when children should be the last thing on your mind if you don't have a stable job and income, accommodation and means to help with university or trade training financing. :D
@zetaforever4953
@zetaforever4953 2 жыл бұрын
@@Petrzmolik people don't celebrate those who bring children into a life of struggle. Everyone agrees that's a stupid thing to do. People celebrate those who succeed despite being born into a life of struggle. Which is obviously more admirable than someone who was born wealthy becoming a bit more wealthy. Those are two entirely different things
@zetaforever4953
@zetaforever4953 2 жыл бұрын
@@Petrzmolik and generational wealth may not be a bad thing in itself, but it's silly to applaud someone for going from rich to slightly richer. Yet, we do that far too often. Certainly more often than we would applaud a poor person for becoming lower middle class.

I've always found that hilarious because Patagonia isn't even in North America, it's a region in the southernmost part of South America. It's the most beautiful place I've ever been though. Some people wear Patagonia clothing to flex their ecofriendly vibes because their clothing is sustainably made.
