#LockeyMagic strikes again! Incidentally, I noticed you have no videos on your channel, not even a rudimentary guide to choosing the correct snack once you're out of a hole. Obviously, the prawn cocktail's are the preferred pick-me-up but I only delve to those depths after a series of shanks. What should one eat if they, for example, take three shots to get out of a bunker? Or fail to cross a water hazard? I demand answers! (preferably in an audio-visual format.)

Wind is a factor! Also I like to visualise the shot, if I see a flatter ball flight it's more club and swing softer!! Golf is not about hitting it as far as you can, it's about controlling flight and distance!! I also hit a 7 iron form 135 and a 9 iron from 120, my 9 iron distance in no wind is 162 :)

Mark Crossfield if he tidied up his driver and putter he would be pretty good, first day of this tour he did get an eagle and 3 birdies. alot of keyboard golf pros love to bag him but i reackon he'd clean up 99% of them. and as for you mark you could easily be a full timer if you choose to but in reality your golf career is probably better than most, love your work and keep it up

I'd say it's both. Not that Aimpoint is "betraying" him, per se, but he's over-focusing because of his perceived reliance on it, causing him to force his stroke, and mishitting them.
