It's easy to see when that's what the camera is focused on, the refs were probably looking at the play near the puck, not the guy 25 feet away from the play

you must be a bad ref too, if you have that bad of tunnel vision that you can't see a play outside of exactly where the puck is you shouldn't be a ref... you're slow af bud.. the ref has to be able to be scanning the ice not just the puck lol, if you've ever been on the ice you realize that you can see practically everything with your eyes, how do you think players like mcdavid read plays so well? they're always looking around observing while playing, if a ref can't simply just observe he shouldn't be a ref period. @@erecno7979

Brody, coming from a former Junior captain, you learned a lesson this game. You need to be a captain the refs like and want to talk to. Trust me, it goes a long way. Let your coaches yell at them. You speak to them as yes sir, no sir. You can question things, but yelling in their face will only hurt what’s going on in the game. You’re doing fine as a captain man. Everyone can see you’re hustling your ass off. Keep that up.

​@@andersborum9267i find the game a little too caotic, kids need to slow it down a bit and try to actually handle the puck and make better shot selection..or even a pass, multiple times guys just blindly shoot the puck when a passing option is available and go WAY out of their way to hit someone. also..the kicking of the stick by the blue player is a classic example of someone who hasnt gotten their face slightly rearranged..the leagues and levels i played in, he would have been dealt with, little kid.

I do however think the team is working hard to get the results, but again, better positioning and puck passing goes a long way .. can't beat the speed of the puck.

Refs like that make it about themselves and they’re terrible discretion literally resulted in outcome altering calls. There has to be accountability there but I know for the most part there isn’t any. It’s a hard job, but that kind of calling should result in guys being suspended from calling games.
