Confirmation bias is always a problem but when it comes to an expensive product like NV tubes it's amplified ten fold. It's unreasonable to expect the average person to have experience looking through more than one or two NV devices. But that doesn't stop people from making grandiose claims about the single device they own and have used. :)

Heck we used to think in 2018/2019 that L3 was the best hands down, until we started buying bulk tubes, looking through hundreds of units, and really taking an objective approach to NV. Then we realized exactly what you described. And we pissed a lot of people off pointing it out.

I agree with a lot of your points, I found it more queer of him to begin selling night vision without releasing specs than the night vision community itself is. Had to pause at 10:30 and comment, man I really appreciate the idea of selling ppl equipment that actually suits their needs as opposed to trying to sell everyone the top of the line product or nothing. It’s a genuine way to get ppl started in the right direction. I was a mountain bike sales person in a MTB town for a while (some time ago), and I ended up being the top sales person for a bike shop that had 7 locations bc I listened to every customer and got them into a bike that actually suited their needs at a price point that they could stomach. Yeah for sure, some ppl would buy something beyond what they intended to, but also, some ppl would actually saved a bunch of cash bc they didn’t need a 10k bike to learn how to ride on. My point is, that selling ppl products based off of what they actually need and informing them that there is better and leaving that decision up to them is ethical and good. Ultimately creating more sales and a great relationship with your customers bc you have gained their trust. I appreciate you guys for being good ppl and will definitely be supporting your business going forward.

Very interesting. If you didnt have a teleprompter in the making of this, i am quite impressed. There were not a bunch of cut aways. Very well said sir. Personally, as a not yet equipped customer, one that is still in the saving process, I consume as much content as possible. I watched T-rex's release videos. On one hand, I felt as though the content was directed to my position, while on the other hand, felt as though it was not for me. I like the idea of examining all the facts, specs and drawing from the knowledge of the professionals that are willing to take the time to explain the aspects that I am not yet aware of. There are many choices when it comes to retailers and eqch takes a slightly different approach. To the newby, this only adds to the frustration. I really appreciate your producing this content. Thank you.

Thank you for watching! We understand the frustration because we’ve been consumers of nods and thermal for years and years before we started this company. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from goonin gear, TREX, Steele, Nocturnality, and I’d throw us in there along with a handful of others. There are some SOLID options in the world of NV. There are some sketchy ones. I plan to dive deep into that topic: what to look for in your NV supplier. Sometime soon. And we’ll name drop the other good companies we wouldn’t hesitate to see people buy from. Even if it isn’t us. Thanks again for watching 👊👊

I think they are just adopting the TNVC business model. Charge a premium and not offer hand select. TNVC has been in the game a lot longer than trex though. In these times, it's a lot more common for the buyers to be able to pick the specs they want. Even if the end user doesn't / can't notice a significant difference, I still prefer to pick from what is available and know exactly what I'm getting. For me, doing the research on specs and meanings while saving to buy is half the fun. Not everyone is like me, though, thank God, lol.

22:49 Love the Mission of Arkayne Co and TA Targets! And from T Rex as well! (Inspire/Train/Equip responsible citizens) Personally I didn’t get the “drama” from the TRex NV drop… I just found the videos kinda long boring (compared to Isaac’s videos and podcasts) and they simplified the “drive through” approach to get equipped with “good” NV rather than analyzing all the imperfect qualities… exactly similar to buying a diamond or camera / lens. T Rex says NV is a “tool” rather than “diamond”, so pay $$ (not $ or $$$) and get a good set of 3x⭐️ tubes and “get to work/training” rather than analysis paralysis that tends to keep people out of the NV training. IMHO: The seller who will WIN and dominate the market with NV for $$$ price/quality, is the one who can copy what the loose diamond 💎 industry did… like Blue Nile or James Allen; or DXO (RIP DPReview) for camera lenses. EASY Online images of imperfections, screenshot or video usage example in a fixed lab environment (dark room, like camera lens quality tests), selection filters for all spec sheet details and price, and a “buy it now” button. 💸
