I feel like its really doing a disservice to say that the aurora is on the level of gen 2. Gen 2 can see in the dark and is useful, *the aurora is not* . If you actually spend the time to do some proper testing, you will find that the aurora is not at the level of the cheapest gen 1 in terms of just raw sensitivity. Currently, there is just no way for a digital sensor to compete with a chemical photocathode (adjusted for area of course). If you want to use it passively, you are often better off just using your two ubaugmented eyeballs in the dark. Two fully adapted eyes are about on par, sometimes better than the aurora when it comes to just seeing in the dark. When I was testing it, I found that it can produce images at a similar fidelity to a gen 2, but only when set to the maximum exposure time of several seconds.

They shipped his bones to america and used it to present a 'new' carnivore preditor-the TRex dino. The people didn't believe that there would've been such a creature on american soil. After a short public display they stored the bones underground in a museum to make a reappearance approx 50 years later.

Night vision is still way over priced. I understand when talking about something that can give troops an advantage on the battlefield makes being "over priced" a subjective comment. Really though. How many years has NV been in use? It gets better and better while production becomes more efficient. I good set of NVGs shouldn't cost what they cost. The base line for the market price comes from government spending. We all know how government spending works. Its a sham! 40k for panos!? 12k for gen 3. 4.5k for a single tube? We gave the Taliban almost 17,000 pairs for free!!! It was cheaper to leave the NODs behind? really?! Sorry guys. I cant get behind the constant raping of the American people. Look at pharmaceuticals. What costs us 20 bucks a pill will cost .25c in another country. 12k for NODs for us, free for our enemies because it costs too much to bring them back. Slave labor in china replaces American's jobs and we still pay a premium for imported shit while the globalists and politicians get super rich. I wish American companies would stop robbing their own people. Look at ammo. Its a perfect example. I've seen the factories and there is no ammo shortage as of april 2022. All these 2A community supporters that are in the industry don't care. They love raping you! 60 bucks for a sling!? Because its "tactical." Its a nylon strap ffs! The big companies can count on one thing. The 2A community has more money than sense. Its a shame and a sham how the first ones to get on board to robbing you is your own. 80 cents for 556 in some places. 62 cents online. 500 rounds of 556 should cost 150 bucks or less if you buy more. Have you guys seen sigs new factory? At what point do they say, "Ok. its paid for itself 1000x over." "Lets give our brothers a break!" Not going to happen. If the SHT I fear their will be no patriotism. Just splinter groups of rednecks killing each other over control of the big farm on the hill. New groups trusting each other enough to merge is a crazy long shot at best. What gives me hope is most of the guys I've met with real night vision are too old and or fat to actually use them. Easy to take out if need be. Everyone in this community needs to understand the reality of the shit we could see in our life time. Good and like minded people across the country need to figure how to come together. Maybe a central hub for militias to join or something. I've heard of multiple militias that have split and are not cool with each other. 2 rich rednecks with land get pissed because they both want to be called the leader? You see where this is going? I understand the need to have structure but you shouldn't pass the leadership to some one just because they have the funds and land. Leadership needs to come from people with real experience. If the guy that owns the land cant swallow his pride and be a team player you need to find some where else to train. Following a farmer or a Building contractor that wants to larp as a general will only get you killed in a SHT situation. Its a shame that important gear like nods can only be procured by those types of guys. Make no mistake,. Those types of guys are usually out for themselves.
