The only thing you don’t realize when you get night vision is that nobody else around you that shoots is willing to drop that much cash for night vision😂 So you’ll be larping in the dark alone😂😂😂

This is exactly why I'm going to end up with two units. It's so cool but not being able to take someone out with me really tampers it down. It's taken a few years but I'll afford another set just for that, it's a bigger investment than I thought but I enjoy it and nothing else is quite like it.

I to a lot of goonin myself and really appreciated being chased in pitch black woods by two very noisy chattering owls. I threw up the old M640V Surefire vamp light and caught their eyes easily reflecting from the branches and was able to watch them swooping down form branch to branch buzzbombing my head. Then they'd land again as I proceeded through their territory making a lot of noise and hooting sounds. I got it on video but couldn't film the NV tubes.
@AJuniorOutdoorsman

@@RunningWithSauce I had a family of pygmy owls over my head last night, and have had 4 mountain lion encounters this year, plus countless, elk, foxes, badgers, etc. Got the owls on video but my NV clip on recorder is garbage. And I also walked by some stoners making out last night and they thought I didn't see them but their blunt was like a giant fucking "I'm here beacon" under nods, and said "nice star gazing tonight, huh?" And the dude pointed to himself like he wasn't sure if I was talking to him 😂 Also have ran into other dudes with nods, which is terrifying.

@@AJuniorOutdoorsman haha. Awesome. I’ve had many similar experiences with running into people that have no idea I’m there. Sometimes when it’s dark AF I’ll step off the trail and just stand next to a tree a few feet away and just let people pass seeing if their natural vision can see me. It’s amazing to me how many people don’t have flashlights or choose to use them. I ran into a family of raccoons that were invading a park garbage and they saw me but you could tell they were counting on me not seeing them. Half went up a tree and the other half split off went to the edge of the lake bank and hung onto the edge like ninjas. I had an IR flood on and their eyes gave them away haha. I got to the edge of the lake and just stood over them looking down saying outloud “I see you”. They started a high pitched chattering haha.

Thank you for this, honestly silly as it sounds I've never even considered obstacle courses and whatnot for training. I'm sure I'm not alone in that, especially for folks that live where shooting at night/surpressors being illegal is a thing. Good to have other ideas on acclimating to our units
@BullsMahunny
@BullsMahunny Жыл бұрын
That's actually very important. NVGs, at least a bunch of non-ultra expensive ones wreck your depth perception. You don't even need to shoot at all. You can just get used to how they feel, how to move with having 6 inches hanging off your face, how to sight your gun around them, if your optics work, etc. There's a whole different set of fun involved in that.

Lucas is not lying. I’ve been trying to save up for night vision for years, and to simply put it, life just happens. Something happens with a vehicle, somebody unexpectedly has to go to the hospital, house projects/repairs, etc. I’ve come to the conclusion that unless I win big on a lottery ticket, which I barely play, I might not ever own actual NV. I did manage to purchase a sionyx “NV” digital device, but now have a bit of buyer’s remorse after reading and watching reviews on it because of the claim of it not being actual night vision. But hey, work with what you have right and it’s better than nothing.

I felt the same way until I actually acquired night vision. I sold a bunch of stuff I wanted less than NODs and got a basic helmet setup and a PVS-14 and realized that if I'd just fixed my spending habits to begin with I'd have had it by now. Instead of spending a few hundred to put together an upper out of spare parts I could have just thrown it in the pot.

80+ hours under a contract tube; doing everyday chores, like washing dishes, sweeping, and laundry really helps with dexterity and moving your diopter to match the task at hand. Driving without any light or ir supplementation is fun and worth while to train. But at the end of the day wearing the device and moving is better than looking at the device. ~Training over everything~

@@rudals1281when you check into or listen to nets practice writing the frequency, time and date the frequency is active, write down the callsigns that check in and any interesting notes. Because sometimes with a bad signal you don't get a second chance to repeat the message. I was told that a good radio man writes down the info as it comes in. Practice making antennas out of alternative materials. Get a battery setup together and a way to charge them. Then take your radio setup out into the field and work out any kinks. I agree with the not blowing a ton of cash you dont have on nods. However, for some people, it'll be the only way they ever get nods. We finance vehicle cause they are utilitarian transportation. However, we won't finance a superpower? I have enough money to buy a few dtnvs out right. Yet I still chose to finance cause if I have to lose something, it's not going to be my house. Over not wanting to spend a 1000 on interest over the span of 4 years. Yes, 1000 is a lot, but I'd rather keep my savings for a real emergency.

Everyone is an armchair quarterback because its easy to critique from the sidelines. That being said, if you need to go from NV to natural vision assisted by White light, you should rarely have to stow your nods. Think about the circumstances you'd need to quickly change and then understand why waisting time to fumble F around with a small button under adrenaline is something you should avoid if there are other options. Of course train for these concerns when you cannot. Your nods should be configured so you can you easily adjust your vision to look under and past them under natural eye vision aided by white light or into and through them for NV. Practice that shift in looking under your nods. It takes some proper configuration of your tube location, angle and distance from face to get that right. But it works so much faster with duals or a single tube. Not so much wit quads but it can still be done. With lights on targets or highly urban lighting reflecting back: High quality Photonis tubes absolutely destroy elbit and L3 hands down in this regard and no white light is needed, they autogate so dang well with explosions, muzzle flash and bright light exposure. Saying specs on tubes don't really matter and we shouldn't be concerned with them probably works for the TREX storefront if you've selected tubes that vary in specs but are ALL high enough quality that people shouldn't be concerned. So I understand the intention of that comment if your buyer's and suppliers are purchasing all tubes within a spec window. But on the open market people absolutely should be concerned and learn them because you can end up getting some very poor quality Gen 3 modern tubes that will snow out quite easily in low light while a high quality tube will still present an effective picture. Caveat: You're a fantastic shot and a ton better than I am so don't take the feedback as negative, but rather to help you transition to white light as I assume you'd want to use that technique while doing CQB and needing to come off nods in the immediacy.

appreciate the approach and ideas. i bought a cheap ir google, that works very very good, but the fov is lame, there is a tiny bit of lag and the dept perception is off. i have rode my ebike, my non motorized bike, vehicle. with my cheap digital nvg, it was hard taking my literal first step, but i have gotten used to it. i figured from video games and vr stuff i had some what of an idea how to cope. i agree, get what ever you can afford and get out in the field with the stuff, basic ass stepping over things can be tough, on the bike i learned to slow down and trust the info i am seeing and not to react quickly otherwise i end up in a feed back loop and things literally get side ways pretty quick

In order to train with night vision goggles, you actually have to find some place that actually is dark. My wife and I go in the forest in the local mountains. There is not much info out there on vehicle blackout.

I think the biggest oddity is people who get night vision and then don't use it. I put like 200 hours in on my first month just doing dumb stuff with it Making a tactical sandwich at 3am is annoying because you have to adjust your focus to find every ingredient and then your mom turns on the light and kills your fun

The thing I don’t like most about walking around with it is stairs. Then again it’s nothing new since the same happens even when it is not dark 😅

haha I financed my binos with debt but I did pay them off right away. This was in 2020 when they were impossible to get in a timely manner so I wanted to get the process rolling.

Bout to upgrade to duals from my L3 20UA PVS14, just like shooting with a can, once you shoot under NV you won't want to do it any other way.

When transitioning from night vision to white light you don't have to flip your night vision up.

10:15 This is where I'm not confident transtioning from PVS14 to binos. I'm running a dog and feel like getting tunnel visioned tubes isn,t a good flow for me and k9, not quickly determing white light vs IR, not as aware of surroundings, and slower transtions. I'm reasonable at running my firearms secondary arm to go passive. A fairly fast transition. I have only cared for binos for driving and thats important potentially. . *I know nearly nothing, just how it has seems in a mono tube. Convince me on binos:

Destined to be another classic trexarms first rate production video we are all accustomed to. Nearly perfect video by Lucus to address the burning "Does FOM Matter?" question many of us had posed in the earlier video. To put the spec sheet into a real life beginner end-user perspective and solve the Gordian FOM knot with a chop. Because everybody wants SOCOM center cut FOM 3500-4000+ tubes and they'll cry if they don't! While plinking in their mom's basement, they can tell the difference and prove the results on range. Give them L3 FOM 3500-4000+ then 1400-1800+ tubes and let's see their results from actual range use by these "FOM Matters!" crye babies. Now for the bad news: errors in production and story line: 1. Ending. You left us with a cliff hanger, but cutting off the best part of all, you at the ending just about to climb! Fire the Satasnists who deleted that priceless moment! 2. Opening sequence. "come on man" Lucus how could you forget the Large French Fries! EVERYBODY orders fries! How did you resist the temptation? For laughs, you could have got cute and said hold the salt. Every normal guy likes large super-sized French fries , get one for yourself and one for the other guy in the back! Don't ask him what he wants, you know what is right, get it for him, so he doesn't feel uncomfortable requesting it, maybe he's Christian or another Gentile and modest, so he'd feel bad requesting basic issue. Burgers and fries are minimum. No drinks there because they suck! You got that on board already. When ordering burgers. To minimize the chances of a pre-made burger that's been sitting on the rack under a heat lanp for who knows how long, customize it with something cute they might not have premade, so your burgers are made fresh to order. You could ask for burgers to be made "well-done" but if incompetent staff are on the line, they'll burn the patties to a dry plywood beef jerky strip that's not fit for consumption. With professional staff on the line, your burger should be good, and chances are they will not have some on the rack premade, so they'll have to make you fresh burgers. You could get cute and request the burgers be made "medium-well" to minimize a burnt patty. With your superior intellect, you need to devise a system, to get them to make you fresh burgers, with no tricks. The nonstandard customization, that is not ready on the rack usually works. Yes, MickyD is "off-the-rack fast-food" but guys like us want it freshly made to order. As for ordering fries, you need to also check then immediately and make sure they are made to the perfect soft on the inside and lightly crispy on the outside, to melt in your mouth, not too crispy as a choke hazard, and at the proper length and long. Some dropouts on the line will have the nerve occasionally to deal from the bottom of the deck, scooping the left-over short ones and or giving fries that have been recooked or burned. What you did correctly was not to order their horrible drinks, that are like laxatives made with disgusting cheap sugar substitute corn syrpe going contrary to the original Coca-Cola recipe using pure cane sugar, and just drink what's in your onboard fully stocked icebox, being real bottled Coca-Cola, your Reign or what have you. It's always risky eating out, even for personalities. It's very easy to spit in your food and perpetrate other sabotage by these clowns who have issues and are troubled by Satanic demons. I'm sure you could have an on-board grill and make quick fresh burgers from your refrigerated ice boxes in the back with all the prepared ingredients. For better laughs, next time, request a few kosher menu "medium-well" quarter pounders and big mac's You are such a freedom advocate; we're surprised and a bit disappointed. As a demonstration of freedom, you should have walked in the front door with the NVG, tipped your head to make eye contact with the counter person! You may have gone viral and from the marketing perspective, perhaps attracted more customers at Trex. Historic moment! A place in the Record Books! We would have walked in demanding the Kosher and Gentile menu Big Macs, with our sue happy Satanist attorney present! 3. The "See, I'm like you" syndrome: In public, high up executives are sometimes forced to act like the common man. It's difficult for some because they are not real people, but scum. Like Bill Clinton jogging to MickyD's occasionally even when they are used to reservations and black tie required fine dining! Get a few of those western black ties Colonel Mortimer the finest shot in the Carolines wore in a Few Dollars More, maybe a nice pocket watch with Trex chime, it's the South. Traditions are everything! Now for more bad news. Your outfit and shirt. Think of it as the ending in "My Name is Nobody" as Henry Fonda gives a few pointers to Terrance Hill. Traditions are everything... Something missing completely today with all the present-day globalist shills, from "bought and paid for" leaders, to politicians, representatives and fake role models whose only purpose is to destroy culture and traditions with Satanic influences.

Part II Traditions are everything... From one Gentile to another, your shirt was a great choice this time! A Grade! A great American who understood the problem, Henry Ford, in his great work about business and his real-life experiences as an executive. Something that would not see print today, given the Satanic TOS everywhere under the control of Satanism globalist agenda. This work started as a simple series of letters to the editor. Snowballing in popularity. Later becoming available in pamphlet and book form, due to high demand and popularity to Christians and other Gentiles everywhere. Where amongst many other points raised, Mr. Ford most importantly also criticized the "sport clothing" culture, e.g., the very anti-Christian patterned shirts that globalist (i.e., AKA anti-Christian-Gentiles, Internationalists, globalists, Satanists, etc., all synonymous) that @garanhdthumb and his paid golem agenda driven lot are deliberately popularizing today, just like yesteryear in the times of Henry Ford. This lot should know better, and they do. You can tell a lot from a person, friend or foe, just by the Satanic symbology they promote, that even Henry Ford condemned and rightly so. If we had enlightened people like Henry Ford on all sides, to eradicate Satanism and its influences, we would enjoy peace everywhere today. But this is not to be, because the Satanist underground, wearing deceptive agenda driven multicultural masks like in Beneath the Planet of the Apes. These satanists will resort to the Samson Option, to take the World down with them. When their manipulative powers of control are lost, and we finally achieve the victory of freedom from Satanism, to be free at last. Stand up for what is right, dump and burn the other globalist agenda driven shirts and clothing that shill @garandthumb has deliberately popularized (thinking we are fools) and Henry Ford condemned.
