I love Santana. I have seen over 100 Phish shows and I must say I love when Trey and Carlos play together. The Jones Beach show in 92 changed my life.

i've seen phish almost 100x dating back to 92. i fall in and out of love with phish. i like santana - i've seen him 4-5x. they are special when together no doubt. trey loves carlos and carlos loves miles and jimi like me. glad trey got to play with one of his main living heroes- h deserves it

Was at the show, front row, stage left, Carlos literally walked in from the alley from behind the stage carrying his guitar and amp. He stood there while they plugged his gear in and next song they started playing. Shook both their hands as they walked off stage. What a great show and great city.

Still my favorite Trey collaboration. Besides like Neil Young at Farm Aid. The Derek and Trey sets were awesome, not hating, just feel like Carlos and Neil got way more relaxed and vibed way harder. Tho ,That Layla is special to me, I named my daughter after the song, seeing my basically top two guitarist kill it made them goosebumps and happy tears. I’m rambling, music is good good and subjective tho soo, yeah... this shit absolutely kills.
How bout the groove backing these two?! You could set your watches to that percussionist alone... INCREIBLE!!!

gurantee he knows and has listened to them even tho they arent his fix really. He has said the reason he plays a languedoc is to be able to play any music and open bodies are traditionally for jazz so i would never rule it out. Especially with mclaughlins fusion experience
