That HUD genuinely looks so much better. I didn't have a ton of issues with the original one, but i realized it wasn't perfect. This new one looks about as clean as it can look. They could still make the bottom right look a little more zombified, but its not really that big of a deal.

The jugg zombie shield on your back and no mitigation to damage from front sounds to me it just means you take normal damage from the front and sides but your back will take more damage to hurt you or break your armor. Unless they mean front hits take straight from health and back hits take from armor which would be weird and not much of an improvement so doesnt make sense IMO. Non of the others seem to have a negative.

I’m pretty sure it replaces armor with a “shield” like in the old games. You will take direct damage from being hit in the front but being hit from the back will cause you to take no damage since it says it completely absorbs the damage to your back.

The laser barriers put me off as soon as I saw them. You have this almost gritty visceral environment and suddenly the barrier is a clean sterile futuristic visual. It feels out of place. Barbwire fences would work much better, and I'm sure there are even better ways than that.

People are confusing the actual new hud changes with treyarch just turning off the minimap, health bars, etc on these particular photos. The only thing major that changed is the hud icon. Basically everything else they did was already an option. You could already turn health bars, the minimap, etc off. So none of the changes today were huge, but they are nice.

Points should be where it was in bo1,bo2,bo3. In the right side. Also would be cool if they had an option to remove the health bar from the hud. Still dislike the bottom ride side, maybe add some zombie blood around the outlines of the bottom right. Just something zombified. Also maybe a setting to disable armor for the map. Plating in general feels nothing like zombies. At the very minimum just put it back to cold war where it does it manually and you don’t have the warzone animation of plating up.

once again. zombies will still be a 16-hit down. they can make it look like old cod all they want. still won’t change how bad their new system with salvage and weapon tiers is in practice, or how different it is from what the majority of the old zombies community knows by heart. Unless there’s a hardcore or classic mode where it’s actually difficult, a lot of the people buying this game for zombies will stop playing, regardless of how easy they can make the camos, the easter eggs, and how simple and open the maps are.

Curious how the whole "Gobblegums can be purchased via the in-game store" Im not surprised they are doing it, just as BO3 had it also. My worry is how will it be implemented, etc. Like Include gums with a bundle or will it be you buy a pack of gums and its random or just simply be pay 100 cod points for a specific gum? Also i know you will earn gums simply by playing but in fairness since you have the option to pay money i could see them making the "play" system for gums not be very rewarding, to then make you feel like the only way to get the best gums or any real amount of them be by spending money. Guess we shall wait and see.

In the pre-order, it says you get the 12 pack of elite gobble gums, plus it also said in the blog that a lot of the elite gobble gums were not unlock able through progression. Don't wanna be that old boomer guy but gonna be lol. Most 'fixes' didnt need to be done if common sense was a criteria for decision making. All hud icons should be movable and on off function. Loadouts from start , points per kill, armor and rarity system don't belong in RB zombies full stop. Change of map skybox etc should be either optional or happen durin a game. Double tap is a must. Core features should never ever be messed with. I'll die on that hill. 💯

​@jamesgarner4127 The shield is back lol. It's an augment for Jug, it works like how classic shields did before. Also, HUD elements are able to be turned off completely like mini map and score. The video and the blog, answers a good chunk of complaints. Also, a classic mode is rumored to come back either in this game or next year's game. Though I would love Double Tap (1.0 or 2.0) to come back but it's been replaced by the rarity system, PAP tiers, and weapon attachments that have rapid fire. If this style of Zombies is not your thing, you can always play WAW, BO1, BO2, and BO3 if you want, no one is forcing you against your will to buy BO6 lol.

The rarities, along with the PAP tiers and Gunsmith, have replaced Double Tap for better or worse.

The lack of double tap, and the create a class garbage (for weapons) is them forcing us to accept the dumbass weapon rarity system, which along with the scrap system, and HUD (all warzone copy+paste garbage) is the reason this zombies game will flop if it does. Brother the upgrades quite literally make this game harder than CW because you can only upgrade twice unlike CW. Hell if you don’t want upgrades then don’t equip them. Gobble Gums are completely optional. “Doesn’t change the fact this is just CW 2.0” is that supposed to be bad? This game is following CW’s footsteps and fixing Cw’s issues like not having a crew, boring and bland maps, easy easter eggs etc. seeing people cry about Round 100 being easy is really damn annoying, nobody wants to sit on a chair for +6 fucking hours to get to round 100, no one likes that round 100 takes alot of time in CO OP. I bet most people who complain about round 100 haven’t even gotten to round 100 before.

@arwenosman there is a save and quit feature in bo6 for high round players, still game is easy, ppl who never played zombies be getting to round 50 in an hour lol
