Just built mine and yes it is definitely better than no rain. Plots already looking better because of this. Super easy. I'm going to add two more tanks and mount everything on a running gear next.

Thanks for the great idea! I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do in order to get water out to my food plot, and since I saw your video I'm headed to town to get the hose, pump and fittings and I'll be making it rain later this evening.

It's probably better than zero water, but a 1/4 acre food plot (about 25x25 yards) would need 1,700 gallons to equal 1/4 inch of rain, so filling and emptying that container 5 times. In drought emergency this might be able to save a few plants, but it's probably better for directly watering new trees than to think this is going to be the way to irrigate multiple plots or anything larger than 1/4 acre. The math wins on this one.

Thanks for the video. My food plot is like 20 mi from my house. I bought a little orange generac generator last summer it's 2,200 watts. Would that be enough to run that water pump?

What size banjo coupling did you buy? And the size of the inner piece that you used the brass threads cut the 3/4 inch hose?

I ran into the same issue this season. I bought the same tank and generator before I found your video lol. But I bought a 1/3hp sump pump with a float shut off and 450' of hose. The closest I can drive to my plot is 400' with a fence in the way. My system works but I have poor water pressure. Takes me over 4 hours to put down 275 gallons. I wanted to switch to that pump but I'm so far from my tank I was worried it would run dry and damage my pump before I could shut it off. Also my tank has a different port on it. So I need to figure out how I can overcome the fitting and an auto shut off for the pump. Any advice?

I got 2.7 acer plot we just planted yesterday watered some to day 5,000 gallons did a little but need to get out there all day tomorrow and put somewhere around 15k 1,000 gallons at a time
