So it turns out after filming the video I found out the Ethanol content was too high, ideally if it was at an approx E30 ratio we would have gotten much closer to 600WHP. Gonna fit an Ethanol Content sensor and get back on the dyno, also the 18% correction factor is just something MSL mentioned, main thing is we've got the WHP to work with.

I have been literally sat waiting for this video !!!! Absolutely love what you're doing with it. Not sure how Pure Turbo's own test M140i makes 660bhp but hell, yours is amazing mate !! I am blown away by the fact a little hatchback, can make more power than a stage 3 RS5 (Jamie from Officially Gassed just had his on the dyno). Mine is going in for a 200 cell sports cat, further remap, and XHP3 next month, and I am so excited :-) Obviously nowhere near yours, but it'll do me for going to work !

You don’t multiply by 1.18 you divide by 0.82. Or if you want to multiply by 18% transmission losses, it needs to be by 1.219512195121951 (100/82). You’re essentially turning a fraction into a decimal. So we’re wanting crank (100) but dyno showing whp at an ‘18% loss’ (82) hence 100/82 = 1.2195... Therefore you’re 603 crank on pump, 654.57 on E.

Calculating an 18% drivetrain lose for a rear while drive car is very generous

Multiplying by 1.18 wouldn’t mean 18% drivetrain loss. At 600whp multiplying by 1.18 would mean a drivetrain loss of more like 15.3%.

You have a 100hp (at crank) car with 50% drive train loss so whp is 50. What do you get if you times 50whp by 1.5? It certainly won’t give you 100. If you times by 1.5 you get 75hp which would suggest be a drivetrain loss of 33.3%.

Stock turbo is fine for ca 500hp crank. For 600-650hp crank you just need a turbo upgrade and another high pressure fuel pump. No charge air cooler etc is needed, the MAHLE charge air circuit is really strong from stock

@@TRHamza Ok I see. A lot of people go for a E50 blend that’s a sweetspot for the dorch st2, you can run enough boost and a lot of timing. When the tune is done you should see around 580-590whp. I owned a m140ix and what a car loved it to bits!
