@@TRHamza totally, from every angle they are just beautiful. Friend had one, an SE like yours, he had started the MSport bumper swap etc and had mild map , delimited + exhaust rework, it drove spectacular grip wise on the SE springs especially at the drag days (some random footage of a 4th gear run etc on channel, just dumped the stuff I had on the phone of it on YT incase it got lost) and kept pulling even when the clock was filled! Just subbed to your channel so I can see how this shapes up👍

Love the “no nonsense, straight to the point” videos. One of the reasons this channel does well for sure! I’d get a new battery in it, bmw’s are known to throw all sorts of random faults when the battery is knackered. Wouldnt be surprised if the ELV is something to do with that. CCC idrive is known for failing (there is a guy on eBay from Birmingham who repairs them) CIC is a great upgrade but very pricey!

On start up it's got a timming chain noise the hydraulic tensioner is knackered and would needs complete timming kit buddy we are in Chadwell heath and very reasonable in prices 👍 jim

I've got an e92 335i, with upgraded hybrids and it's running about 510hp with coilovers, big brake kit, all the bells and whistles. It's had a lot of problems so I'll just say what I'd check. O2 sensors will go so get them changed. Check boost solenoids, vacuum lines and keep an ear out for wastegate rattle. Check the coolant pipes as well as they're brittle under the heat and mileage. Obviously battery goes as well but I know you're doing that. Water pump, hpfp and lpfp. And check your injectors as well. When these cars are running they're a dream to drive, just take a lot of maintenance. Hope you can get this sorted mate 👍

I had an E92 335i for a few years (N55) and to be honest I was happy to see it gone. Brilliant car, with the drive, noise and presence, but everything in it was HEAVY as you say Hamza. Heavy steering, terrible for around town, not enough column reach adjustment, the doors weighed a bloody ton and I can't say I was too sad to see it go. Replaced it with an F30 335i sedan and its a KILLER car. Much more comfortable, beautiful day to day and I'll have it a long time I reckon.

You should go single turbo. Would be really interesting, there isn't much information or many kits for rhd st conversions. Can't wait to see what you do with this, I've got an E91 N54 👌

Would be cool just depends how much it’ll cost. The RHD manifolds don’t sound too great from what I’ve seen - quite fancy some eBay hybrids though 😉

@@TRHamza yeah it's gonna be a big build isn't it, 10k+ easily realistically... Port injection and fueling upgrades etc that come along with it for a good st build after buying your manifold dp and turbo... It's gonna be a lot. Then the cost of all the maintenance your car will need haha... Would be crazy tho and you got the MT to go with it! Would make for some killer content... First of its kind in the UK🤷🏼‍♂️ lots of 17t/19t builds out there mate... I'm excited either way and I'll be telling all the N54 mandem to watch this space bro 👊

I’ve got 19T hybrid turbos on mine, just waiting to do the cold step colder spark plugs and should be able to be pushing around 600, would love to see what route you take, my mate has a single turbo N54, we both took completely different directions but honestly love it, really looking forward to what your gonna do

Hopefully the problems were not actual problems. Low battery voltage can throw off the functionality of the sensors throughout as they are trying to operate outside of tolerance.

Coolant jar in the trunk should have turned on a warning light ;-) I drove an M5 performance today, it's a 2 tons car so it's heavy. It smokes when you accelerate (worn valve guides?), rattles when turned on, chain tensioner? etc. etc. etc. The engine is not solid if it hasn't been serviced regularly, rod nock, vano ... It was an expensive car and it's expensive to service.

Index 12 injectors, waterpump, hpfp, 17t turbos to avoid 30FF, uprated lpfp, all the gaskets, coolant flush, solenoids, crank guard And then you can breathe, before starting on mods. Welcome to N54 life.

The Injector problem is pretty much on all E series petrol cars lmao. eBay and the used market in general is flooded with all sorts of injectors. I had the best experience with brand new injectors. All the other crap that was renewed or used either failed shortly or had issues from the beginning.

Most if not all of those fault codes will be down to having low voltage, if you put a fully charged battery on it and clear them they won’t come back

Had the e90 335i back when they were modern. That engine is awesome. The first modern turbo petrol bmw did. The S55 m3 engine was actually based and designed around the this n54 been twin turbo charged. Awesome engine very powerful even by todays standards.

I could tell you all that needs to be fixed. LOL I'm not saying it's a bad car. There are just the same common problems all BMWs have. If you can do the work yourself, it's not too bad to own. The number one biggest problem is oil leaks. Rear main seal leak is difficult to repair having to drop the trans. There are other leaks too but they're easy to do yourself. 2nd thing is the cooling system, again easy to do. Carbon buildup on the intake valves, easy to do. Fuel injectors, ignition coils again easy to do. There are youtube videos titled "25 things that will break on your bmw". LOL.it will tell you more.. I did everything from watching youtube videos. My e90 335i now has 170k miles. Still running great. This car is a pain in the (a)ss but it's worth the fun. I drive it hard!! :-)

Damn used car prices are mad these days, I got mine in 2019, 2007 M sport model with same mileage with no issues for the same price! although this is actually a very well specced model, the piano black interior trim is quite rare and I've never seen one with TVs in the back lool of course a year later everything started leaking (especially coolant) so when I saw that bottle of G48 in the boot I got PTSD lmao it's currently in the shop getting full bolt ons

i bought a 325i accident damaged it had that same steering light but it only came up but on a bosch kts code reader no codes came up for the steering light cut it was due to a bad battery once you put a new battery it should remove the light hopefully unless there's an actual problem with the steering which it doesn't seem like it the way it was driving

If idrive is fucked take it to Novatech in Enfield Post it off and PMP cars in Nuneaton are the ones for N54 and install MHD on the appstore for mapping etc. All via android
