Trial And Error -- Learn To Rescue People from Titan Taranis

Sometimes the best way to play the game is just to play it, and learn through trial and error. Might take some practice and failures, but once your succeed, that success will be sweeter.

I have attempted rescues using several different ships. The Clipper was by far the most effective. You definitely want the 7A universal, so that you can have eight concurrent limpets. The Clipper is both cold and fast. When you are detected, you need to whip around the hull from top to bottom, staying very close. The Cutter is not maneuverable enough. I have not had good success with it. Even while using a fighter as distraction. I can routinely max out the cargo in a Clipper with pods. Thus far I have pulled out about 1500 and stashed them on my carrier. Do be aware, you need to offset based on hardpoint placement, when using the extraction missiles.

Good job on figuring out that loop. Takes some re-buys (less cost if you go on a cheaper ship), but now that you got the hang, it gets easier. If you had tried your hand on mining, the you would've figured out the way the sub-surface missile works way faster (now mining with sub-surface missiles is going to be simpler for you). If you're okay with figuring out more things by yourself, just know that you did well o7 If not, here's a few extra tips: - Their detection methods are also thermal (same as our sensors), so running cold (as low heat % as possible, preferably under 20%) makes it harder for them to detect you. You can stay undetected for long enough to fill a cargo hold with pods without problems. - It seemed like you already figured it out, but just to drive the point home, keep in mind the position of the hardpoint. Despite the cursor showing a single point, that point doesn't show proper convergence as it shows against other ships (looking up "Elite Dangerous Ship Anatomy" can show how displaced each hardpoint is to a target when using fixed weapons). Keep this alignment in mind when firing. Also, it makes it easier to place the missile on a central hardpoint (ventral or dorsal), that way you only have to compensate vertically (like you were doing on the second half). - Don't forget the two limpet modes: targeted, and multi-targeted. If you lock a scoopable target and shoot a limpet, it will fly faster than normal, and will expire after collection. Since you don't need to use limpets for other stuff, you might as well target the pods to collect them faster (one less limpet in the cargo, one more pod in the cargo, total cargo doesn't change). - All limpet controllers have a "reload" time, meaning you won't be able to shoot another one during that time (there is a trick/exploit to bypass this, but I don't know how to do). If you use a single controller (the 7A multi-limpet you were using, for example), you might not be able to collect as fast as you could using two limpet controllers. When in conjunction with targeted limpets, by the time you launched all of them, some will have already returned, and you'll be able to shoot new ones. - It seems like it always shoot 8 per extraction, so either use two 5A and target each pod (by the time you went through all 6 one will have already returned, and the way it auto-alternates between each controller makes it simple to just keep all controllers on the same trigger for that fire group), or have enough limpets on multi-targeted already deployed (if using multi-target, try to be close to where they'll stop, which seems to be about 700m above the extraction point). If using multi-target, keep in mind that you'll carry less limpets than your total cargo (I personally don't bother with math and don't want to risk having to eject limpets mid-work, so I use two 5A on a medium ship and only use targeted mode).

Do you plan to continue this playlist? There is plenty of gameplay loops to see like mining, piracy, exo biology, capital ships scans (those can have a nasty surprise), saving slaves and kidnapped people... I can't play for at least a month, and it would be nice to see some gameplay with good montage and cuts of boring parts.
