A blood-stained Milton Jones is found after his girl-friend is murdered. He claims that he was in amnesiac shock and cannot recall the murder. He is arrested but evidence seems to suggest his innocence. As he is black - and the dead girl was white - his family accuse Roisin of racist behaviour. Clinton begins to recall that another man was in the victim's flat before her death and, following two more slayings, it appears that a serial killer is targetting white women with black boyfriends

Would people stop saying "HONED in on something!" Ir is "HOMED in on ... h-o-M-e-d in on ... You sharpen a knife by honing it (to hoNe: sharpen) . . . You zero in on or HOME in on by hitting it dead center, making a bull's eye, focus on, look at fullly, zero in on!

7:50 The film makes one of the very few serious mistakes in the entire series. He was stoned, but he was *not* stoned during the half hour or more from the club to the apartment, so there is no reason why he shouldn't be able to remember and describe the murderer.

On the one hand, I can understand the detectives' way of thinking. On the other hand, it also shows the lack of imagination on the part of the police. Once they've honed in on someone, they tend to concentrate only on the suspect and ignore a lot of clues and signals. Not always, of course, but very often yes. And if the suspect is of a certain ethnicity or race.....So annoying to watch the conventional way detectives do their job, even in fictional shows. But overall, this series has its very good moments, good episodes, though not all of them.

Yup, the racial motive is absolutely credible but this is an odd approach to it. A strong reach but I’ll entertain it. The target is the same but the mo is quite novel. Sex and race in America is way uglier and simpler in its sadism . Racial murder usually targets Black boys as young as eight and men for imaginary crimes or alleged rape of white women. ( Test your assumptions. See the crime data for actual inter and intraracial rape stats! ) Many thousands gone because of it! This is a switch, killing beauty to frame the beast. You wouldn’t have to go to all that trouble in the US. A simple unsupported accusation would suffice.
