Great series. But it is so real in showing how even the pigs hate each other and will do anything to get a pat on the back or a promotion. All bent as fuck!!!

O Connor keeps playing the character of a hard cop, in dealing with the people she is interrogating. She should really moderate her character to the softer side.

Wouldn’t someone in the audience at all his lectures have read the bio on his book jackets and queried the age discrepancy etc. A bit implausible.

Linda Henry (Marilyn Sparks) is so amazing in this. When they question her in episode one - that always gets me! You can FEEL her desperation for making them understand what she’s trying to say and her anxiety living the ordeal all over. And Kate Buffery - outstanding! The serie died when she stopped.

The acting and directing in this whole series was outstanding. But Jake Wood's performance when he finds the body, then how he falls to pieces, moves me to tears every time. One of the most powerful pieces of acting I have ever seen.

Helen Mirren, and all of the actors in Prime Suspect, are excellent, and very well-directed. This series is among the best ever aired. Lynda LaPlante is a great writer!
