Brilliant show. Watching from Canada. The Brits make amazing TV. I should know I was born there 75 years ago. Been in Canada since I was 11, but a British girl at heart. John Lynch is magnificent. Anything he is in is excellent. Especially when he grew his hair...yes! The whole cast is brilliant. I don't want it to stop lol.❤

why is it, ppl being questioned, in these dramas, threaten to file complaints for harassment. It's their job to investigate & question. Detectives don't take notice. It should be a red flag of guilt. Parents' victims are hostile. really poor drama plot point.

Can you go to jail for not talking to the cops, if you aren't a suspect? If it were me, I'd say "Fine. I'll talk to you. And everything I say will be a lie". Plus, can you just jump into someone's car and start interrogating them? Seriously! Connors is like a rabid Pit Bull. So annoying.

@@sueferris3685 FYI, our laws here in the USA are based on English law which is based upon the laws Solomon wrote about in The Bible. Solomon was the son of David. Because David shed blood, God chose his son, Solomon, to build the first temple in Jerusalem. "And Solomon said unto God, Thou has shewed great mercy unto David my father, and has made me to reign in his stead. Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou has made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou has not asked for riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet has thou asked for long life; but has asked for wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou may judge My people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like (2 Chronicles 1:8-12, KJV)."

In USA, New York, California, The Wife or Husband cannot testify. Maybe as co-conspirator & is complicit? may change things. I don't know. In US, maybe ins some states, or countries, UK is different, they mis- apply this often. Spouse cannot testify as to what was said, even confessed to keep the marriage & trust. But you can testify as to what you saw independently. The right rests with the partner being Accused. The partner is prohibited from testifying. Just as a lawyer is bound by client atty privilege. The right rests with the client- and it's broken when a 3rd party is present. In California, you cannot record someone on the phone without their knowledge (or court order) so even a confession cannot be used. You can record face to face without knowledge.
