The first thing you will find is injured pigeons coming home. It's a common old wives tale that the injured birds hit wires, what actually is going on is there is there being Injured diving into trees at high speed, to get away from hawks. I fly 2 or 3 old hens on my young bird team, keeps the boys interested number one, but I hope they also provide guidance on a hawk jump toss like this

it was a big punch to the gut but birds seem to be doin good after that day. How big is your team .lets hope nothing like that happens to you

@@HalbritterLoft just all breeders at the moment only have a few young birds like 4 total but I am just breeding this year and getting enough adult birds to be able to breed during spring and have enough 🐥 to have a team. just been in the sport 4 months now
