Wow, that was masterfully done buddy. So much lovely detail with the new cam as well. How you had the patience for that I don’t know. I wanted to scream for you every time a little bit fell off. When do you know to use the float and then when to use the sponge? But yeah the detail on the new GoPro is nuts. If you could do a skimming video with that detail that would be awesome. I haven’t been able to get much done for the past week as Omicron Covid got me. Worst sore throats imaginable. Even sipping water was like swallowing shards of glass. Never ever again PLEASE. But today I’m getting up and digging up the last bit of horizontal strip across the back for the rest of the footing to go.

Thanks! Was a nightmare to match the old wall especially as it must have been done in the 70's I think. Such an odd style of coping as ive never come across one built that way before. It is a fine line of when to use the float and the sponge, you need to wait until its set enough for the plaster not to move around on the wall to use the float but not set too much where its gone dry and dusty. The sponge can follow as soon as you have floated, if it goes to dry the sponge won't work very well at taking float marks out. GoPro is working great so far, glad the detail looks good! Ah christ there's a lot of Covid going around at the moment, sounds like you're on the mend if you're back on the shovel!

A bit of slurry dabbed on to the edge of the brick cap might have helped Sam .
@SamDaviesBuilder3 ай бұрын
Yea i could have done that and scratched it but if i went for top coat straight on slurry I think it would have just slid
@brickbybric3 ай бұрын
@@SamDaviesBuilder it definitely would have slid Sam if you tried to sand and cement it straight away ,but if you left it for a while before applying the sand and cement it would have worked . Still it turned out a nice little job👍
