Ahhh, looking at this show through contemporary eyes could well encourage one to jump on the 'It was total crap' bandwagon. But take a moment to think what the world was like in 81, very different from that of today. All in all a not too bad a 20 or so minutes in the early evening slot. Really it was Wogan who put the spoke in for this show, after he'd moved on from using the infamous 'Crosroads' as fodder, taking the piss out of Arthur Brownlow and such :)

What was Nigel Stock doing in this rubbish? The whole plot wondering whom Kate O'Mara's character is went on longer than the DFS Sale. Costly Nigel has to be pushed out, the BBC can't afford him. As for that Muzak by Johnny Pearson, cheesy and dated even then let alone now.
