I love how Kyuho laughed at Sarah's "for some reason that's not that comforting". You guys have such a great dynamic, the same sense of humour. And I would totally love Sarah making some baked goods (maybe for christmas?) in a video. Or just joining Kyuho again for his normal cooking videos. I wanna know some more of your Japanese host grandma's cooking tips 🙏

Gahhhhh!! I've missed your last 2 videos. I need to play catch up. First and foremost... Sarah, I LOVE how you've embraced the Korean culture over the years, since I first found you and Kyuho, and this amazing channel. Being of Japanese descent, I've made onigiri many times throughout my lifetime. You, however, just taught me something new, and I LOVE it!! I will now layer my rice and toppings in a bowl like you did, before I make it into the triangle shape. Thank you both for this very instructional video!! Take care, and have a great weekend!!

I like the bowl trick to make that perfect triangle ! I used to buy the moulds and they are not exactly easy to use because more often than not the rice block gets stuck in the mould!

That bowl trick is so clever, yet really simple. I'll do that next time I make onigiri for sure! Do you not put anything in the bowl to prevent the rice from sticking? Like water or oil or something? Maybe the kimbap version with sesame oil doesn't have that problem? I like my onigiri with plain rice and just salt, so they usually get pretty sticky. I guess I'll figure it out myself next time I try.
@2hearts1seoul3 жыл бұрын
It’s such a great tip my host grandmother taught me ☺️ You can definitely wet the bowl very slightly or add a couple of drops of oil to make it slide out easier :)

Love the kitty aprons! A suggestion for the table height problem when cooking- why not put an elevated platform ( one that can fold away when not in use) with a cutting board on top? Your rolled omelet turned out very nice and I will have to try making the triangle Kimbap! Poor Beemo he wanted his own plate! I just want to let you know how much I enjoy these cooking segments. I always find something I can take away from these segments to try.

Ok-i got to say this-you guys crack me up.....and the fact you keep saying thank you when you do simple things for eachother shows that you have both been educated like that and you care about eachother and arent entitled-something you also probably learnt in the family. I'm glad i didnt go with my first impression when i watched your first vlogs and thought that Kyuho was smug and cocky- but now i feel like i got to know him better and that those things arent who he really is deep down. I think you both are caring, good people who are sweet and love and respect eachother and value eachother contribution. I love the graciousness of you Sarah and the way you move your hands and i dont know-its like you were born to live in that culture-i dont know if its something you learnt or not, but it suits you a lot and it makes you appear feminine and delicate. I also like the way you two joke around and not take eachother too serious but in the same time in a caring way , without offending or pushings things too far. I dont know what you put in the rice and on top? Was it seaweed? THank you for your videos-im obsessed with Beemo pink, a little loose belly, cute faces and those eyes!!!!!! :))))

Hahaha, nahh, they’ve gotta be diced small enough, otherwise that egg roll is going to be too lumpy and bumpy and will tear open when you try to roll it. Kyuho’s ‘diced’ veggies are larger than my definition of diced 🍙
