At 9:26, The literal translation of what Peer said is way more badass than Reactistan's translation: He says, "life is more fulfilling when you grab death by the finger and run with him." I guess it does mean, in a way, living life on the edge.

Interesting, thanks for the translation. I wonder if they didn't translate it to that because in the west, holding hands is a sign of romance. It is very uncommon for male friends to hold hands in the west and might imply that they are in a romantic relationship.

I showed a few of these videos to a couple people. I wanted to share something I think is a great learning experience. Some couldnt appreciate culture..felt like these people were some how deprived. Shocked me. I watch and think abt how no pringles and pancakes would benefit me but even more so I wish to more. How good it would be to be as connected with each other as they are with their families and friends. Never thought I was better off just thought different cultures. Trips me out.
@AfridiZindabad4 жыл бұрын
Not deprived for not trying junk food but those people are also correct in the sense that poverty is a serious issue and education is cut off for marriage or work for kids.. Bcuz families cannot afford it so those are the only options they have for their kids. Thats why girls are married young because the family cannot afford the whole education process and less access to programs people dont realize this but class discrepancy is major in Pak. Esp worse if the child's mom or dad dies. Like what happened with Peer... because the single parent struggles still and money was already too low.. Peer may have had a better academic education which it seems would be fulfilling and empowering flr him.. but it seems he musr have had to work frkm a young age and a single mom couldnt afford school fees .. My guess. But im saying your view and theirs are both valid.
