Hi! I live in Ontario, Canada. We did have a few bad snowstorms. Even though we’re used to winter, it still gets overwhelming, especially when the power goes out. I love your channel and watch every day! Cheers! ✌🏻🇨🇦✌🏻

Two weeks ago it snowed for 24 hours and we had 8.5 inches of snow accumulate…on roads, houses, trees, yards, fields …everywhere. My wife and I stayed inside our home. Our power did not go out, so we had electricity for everything to work ok, but the temperatures were very cold, both day and night, so we burned wood in our heater to add extra heat to the house. We live in the woods and snow is very hard on birds and animals that live in the woods, so we put out food for them and spent time watching them eating and flying around. That red bird in the video is very common in the USA, called a Cardinal, and many people feed them seed. We had some of them and many other birds at our feeders those two days. Then it warmed up and in two more days the snow had mostly melted! So for us it was not a disaster, but a thing of natural beauty! Children love to play in the snow, but at 75 years old, I am too old for that, but I can sit by the window, look out, and drink some hot tea and enjoy watching it! I should mention that we did not have any high wind with our snow storm.

In January 1978 we had a blizzard. A semi truck and the driver was completely covered in snow beside the highway. He was stranded there for 3 days before they found him. if I remember correctly eating nothing but melted snow and chocolate bars. The roads were so bad that stores were running out of food. No deliveries could get through to restock.

I was four years old living in Massachusetts. My father got stuck in his drive home after work and spent three nights in a gas station, living on nothing but bologna sandwiches and scotch. He still says it’s the worst hangover of his life 😂. I remember climbing up the snow bank, onto the garage roof.

Hey - I lived here during this storm. I had a tree fall and hit my apartment on the second day of the blizzard. Just outside my door, there was a snow drift 2.5 meters tall.

In rural parts; where there are farmers; there are people who own snow moving equipment. My parent's rural town is almost always plowed by other local people.....not by the government....Gods bless them. In the cities there are few such vehicles available, there are but a few vehicles owned by the county government. Takes them MUCH LONGER to respond. Christmas or not, it's COLD here....power our means many people lack HEAT. It is the time of year I would be grateful for an open hearth kitchen. It is slightly less cold once the snow is all DOWN....the wind becomes less of an issue. Snuggled in my bedroom with a dog and two chickens. We're cold but we have EGGS. At very least....the children have fun with it once it is on the ground. i'm cold....but there are children playing on the slopes nearby with their sleds. I love hearing their happy voices. ❤❤❤❤

In Maine schools they used to tell us to stay off the snowbanks. Because they didn't want us climbing onto the power lines.

Wow! We do get winter snow storms in the UK, but they are not that extreme.🌨 I have seen snow drifts 10 feet tall in the countryside. We have some snow marker poles, along some moorland roads, so drivers know how deep it is. From Yorkshire

This is old. Every year winter storms hit the Midwest and the Northeast very hard. Honestly right now Los Angeles is on fire while most of the of the country is dealing with a deep freeze, it even snowed in Florida which never happens. Two very different disasters on the two sides of the Rocky Mountains.

That video did a poor job showing them the snow. It has been way worse than that. Got 5 feet snow drifts at my house 2 years ago.

True. I live in Fort Erie/Crystal Beach where some parts of this were videoed. Over 60 died in Buffalo on Christmas weekend. Some died from freezing, trapped in cars, CO poisoning, falling trees or medical problems when help could not reach them. I was also around for the blizzard of '77 and this wasn't quite as bad but bad enough. People with lakeside homes had icebergs break through their windows into their living rooms. Lakeshore property isn't what it's cracked up to be.

Show them this snow storm from nine years ago in New York. It snowed so much that they closed the roads so the plows could come in and clear the streets. BUT these guys decided to have some fun in the snow before it's gone. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4PZaHptjNWCpbc
