Here I am in the United States, in Maine, sitting in my chair by myself, jamming out to fu(king METALLICA with 3 older men - Arabic/Muslims from Iran/Pakistan. We are all connected to the music in the same exact way. This is something I could have never imagined would happen growing up in the 90's and listened to Metallica all the time. God bless.

I don't know if I've ever heard Abdul give a more glowing opinion of a song before. Usually he's stoic and I can see in his eyes that he likes something, but this time he showed how much he liked it with his whole body. Also, it's amazing to see that music can make someone so emotional that they almost cry. You held it together well, Mashoque.

I always come back to this channel now and then. I am always shocked by the amount these lovely human beings connnect me to my humanity with their warmth and honest connectedness. I was particularly touched in this one by Mashoques reaction and obvious emotional connection with the song and lyrics. you can literally see at one point where Mashoque connects so well with the song that by his physical reaction that he has interanlised the message and is thinking of how this relates to his life. To this day, it's one of their slowest songs and still one of their most powerful. So widely loved by the fans. 32 years, and it makes the top of a lot of fans' favorites lists. And to think, we almost never got it.

That's called wisdom. EQ is not a thing. It's not quantifiable. The only actual interpretation of _emotional intelligence_ would be being able to regulate your emotion. And the closest thing to that would be called stoicism. Knowing how to control your emotions and use them to stay and be productive.

This song is just a masterpiece. James has always wrote lyrics in a way that are very personal to him yet vague enough for the listener to interpret them in their own way for themselves. It could be about family, friends, fans, love or religion. It’s just beautiful music.

I love this. To see them actually be open enough to enjoy Metallica, of all bands from America, this shows their true openness. It's funny how even our parents were afraid of this band back in the early 80s. Lol. I'm not kidding that this channel completely buried some seriously wrong ideas in my heart. Bias. Prejudice. If there's one good thing social media did for me, it was to erase a lot of ignorance from my heart and world. So grateful that I don't carry that anymore. I’ve only just discovered this channel after the review of the Pentatonix cover of Hallelujah came up in my recommended. There is something so uniquely special to see people being open to something such as music that they would not otherwise listen to and to hear and see their genuine reactions and thoughts is wonderful! Many would be quick to turn it off because it’s not their style but to see them go deeper than the surface and discuss the meaning of the lyrics, of what they are seeing in the video and appreciating the music for what it is, is an absolute joy.

This was released earlier than 1992. It was on their self titled album, which came out in 1991. James Hetfield wrote the song in 1990. I think they were still on their AJFA tour at the time.

You know, these people that are in the video, the ones that listen or watch the programming... They seem very down to earth. I feel like I would get along well with them. They remind me of my grandparents and their generation. It would be nice to sit and speak with them, even though I don't know their language. I'm 47 and These men and women always seem wholesome and down to earth. I don't know if the people of this channel ever tell them of any of our comments. This was a great watch! As a huge Metallica fan since the mid 80s I have to tell you just how great they are as humans. They have a charity that gives money to trade schools for kids to go into trades like welding, plumbing, electricity. Stuff like that. It also is big on food donations. People may complain about ticket prices but a portion of every ticket sale goes to the local city they are playing in for food banks. They have a day of giving every year where they ask their fans to go donate their time locally to food pantries and shelters. They just released a new album last year in their 60s. They will retire when they can’t do it anymore physically and that doesn’t seem to be any time soon! Thank you for your reaction and I hope you all have a great day.

In a previous video , I think it was stairway to heaven or hotel California, I don’t recall who said it but they mentioned the trust of how if a member of the band was lost, how would a replacement feel and how would they feel about a replacement, this is what a band who actually experienced this and they composed this beautiful song.. of course those who know I am speaking of when the band lost Kirk Hammet and they found Jason newstead ..

As a generally slow song with a pay off, it would also be interesting to see their reaction to more extreme metal forms that do the opposite, whilst having a lot of meaning - for example, When A Demon Defiles A Witch by Whitechapel - a very heavy song with an acoustic section, all about how the singer's mother dealt with Multiple Personality Disorder
