I had a friend's parents over for Christmas, they were from China, didn't speak any English, I speak no Mandarin, and after lunch we watched Mr Bean, and we all laughed together, and now we've been friends for five years..... Thank you Mr Atkinson, you're an angel. 🙏

Rowan Atkinson once said. The idea for Mr Bean's comedy was to be funny without needing language. He was a character for the world to enjoy ❤

Rowan Atkinson really is a genius. His personality is versatile. His stand-up has always been Mr Bean, he made that into a tv series and movies. Then he did a TV show called “Blackadder” where he is completely different ! Truthfully I think he is a character actor. A very smart man. Wonderful reaction, made me happy to see al of you happy. Surely happiness is the great thing 🙂

There is a tale of how Rowan Atkinson started to be a legend he is, and it was when he was a student in Oxford. Rowan Atkinson went up in the Revue one day, with a piece of paper, and went on to make everyone laugh without a single word for seven minutes straight. You don't see that kind of talent every day, and it is still hard to find anyone that could do it as spectacular as he does. The way he talks and he brings himself outside a character will make you question everything you have seen him do as Mr Bean because he is every bit what you expect of an articulate English gentleman, but as Mr Bean, he doesn't show that at all. He is a crazy talented person.

This video made me realize something: it's very different to actually see and enjoy "Internet culture" with a plausible baggage of good values and years of life experience... than facing such phenomenon in the early stages of self-development _aka_ childhood and youth. I don't have enough evidence to say if it's "better" or "worse" (if this caetgories may apply), since in terms of human history, the aforementioned culture has just begun. But it's different, for sure. I think Mr. Rind Baloch, apart from being a very wise man, is a good example of the idea I'm trying to break down. His eyes are full of stories and his voice is like an inked pen waiting to write new ones. The thrill and wonder in his face, mixed with respect and patience, tells me of a man that has enough experience to face the neverending and vertiginous rythm of modern life with enough temperance to enjoy it... but also to set limits whenever is required. Not an easy feat to achieve. I write this from the bottom of my heart. The three gentlemen have beautiful, inspiring souls. Mr. Atkinson too. The world is beautiful. With all its endeavours, vicissitudes, shadows and craziness.

Sounds like there's Bean episode to look forward to. He really is a legend. It's a shame my favorite might be on his list of least favorites, The Black Adder series. Worse for here as there is so much culture-of-the-time humor tied as an integral part to each of the series, it might require a class for each series. For years now, when I want to get a perspective on things, I look forward to hunting X People React videos, and these are high on my favorites. Always, thank you for sharing your first times and general perspective and wisdom with all of us.

Did you know that Rowan Atkinson was inspired by a French-Canadian comedian for this sketch? Here's the "original", by Michel Courtemanche kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6O7hoZnoMqorJY Courtemanche created his in 1987; Atkinson saw it, loved it, made sure Courtemanche was OK with him doing the same, and his version came out in 1991.
