I have shown your videos to my soulmate. We have just lost his mother to cancer one month ago. We were there together while she passed on. But He has been numb since then. We finally got a chance to cry together while watching this. Thank you. And thank Riaz Jutt for being so human in his reaction & helping us feel less alone in our loss & pain. I felt like we were mourning all together. If he were here with us, we would hug him & understand, without words. There is strength in revealing raw emotion. Utmost respect & love to Riaz, his children (his disabled boy, especially), & wife. And of course, we send our love to all of you, from Baltimore, MD USA :)

The best moment is when mr Tongi is still in the middle of his tears and mr Blunt sings the line "You can feel my hand on your arm" and touches Ian's arm, as if he's his father. In a way, _there actually is_ a sort of senior-junior relationships as Blunt is 49 and Tongi is 19 so 30 years difference; or at least a mentor-mentee relathionship.

You were right, this was even more emotional than your last post. I started crying the moment James starting singing , but I totally lost it when he was comforting the younger man. I was with my dad every day as his health deteriorated. Every day I would lean over to hug him goodnight, i'd say it was ok for him to go, that we would all be ok. (he was deaf, so he didn't actually hear this, but it was my version of telling him I would chase the monsters for him now). Thank you for all you've done to enrich and broaden my life

Another point is that he had promised his dad that he would use the guitar his dad gave to him in every performance he'd give. James Blunt is also known to commonly sing with an instrument. Both of them were emotionally naked on stage. I think that's why they both got so emotional

James Blunt comes from a military family, expected to go to war, which he did. The personality he displays looks imo, to be that of an artist. I’ve always felt he was badly affected by his war experience. His songs, and the way he performs them, has him in tears often. If you go back to his “Back To Bedlam “ album, some of the songs, like “ No Bravery” are painful for him to sing. When you see him looking up while performing live, you can see the tears in his eyes. I think, in writing some of those songs, he was representing those who served in his generation.

You can hear the effect that war had on him. Love this song it always makes me cry. I lost my Dad just a month and a half after I got married. I still miss him all these years but on. He lives on in my son and nephews, where I see flashes of him in them. Also in in the stories I have shared with them over the years. Miss you Dad. ❤️

"Sir you can never deal with the loss of your father.." That hit me straight in the heart. My father died of heart attack when I was only 8 years old. I didn't get much time with him but I loved him so much and we, my siblings and I, knew he loved us. We mourn his passing still. He was a good man gone too soon at the age of 45 years old.

Sitting here sobbing. I miss my dad so much. He died the weekend after my 18th birthday, the week before my high school graduation. He was 51 years old. His funeral was on Wednesday. Graduation was Thursday. I was numb. He was supposed to be there. He never got to see me finish college or grad school. I’ll never get to hug him again. I’ll never get to know him as a person and not just my dad. He will never get to know me as an adult. I’ll never know if he would be proud of how I turned out. My heart is still broken. We never got to have the kind of closeness I wished for so I’ve had to get to know my dad through other people. When you’re a kid you don’t think about parents as people separate from their roles, at least I didn’t. I look at how close my mom and I have gotten, how much I’ve learned about her as a person, and wonder if it would’ve been the same with my dad. I miss him.

How beautiful! Such an emotional performance from both of them, just look at how it’s effected everyone watching it. I have to think Iam had to have felt quite overwhelmed during this performance. Not only was he singing for his father, feeling that grief, but doing it for such a HUGE audience AND in a duet with his idol who wrote the song. It must have been a very confusing wash of every emotion all at once! I’ve been lucky enough to work with a few of the people I look up to, and it’s been incredible experiences, but often really overwhelming and hard to process in the moment. I always think of the quote from The Last Unicorn; “her joy was too great for her body to understand.” Of course, Iam must have felt grief too, making it all very bittersweet. Again, an incredible and very moving performance!

I think we can all see a bit of someone we know and love as he sings about his father (could be mums, sister, brothers etc) and that is why it effects us so. I would love to see them react to “Save Me” or “Son of a Sinner” by Jelly Roll…I think they’d appreciate his story as well as his talent. Also, I know once their reaction is up, Jelly would be absolutely stoked (“tickled pink” to use a southern saying) to hear what they have to say. He’s so humble about all of his recent rocket to stardom.

"He's more comfortable expressing his pain". True, Chacha! I think one thing this song and its music video did was James unabashedly expressed his emotions, his pain. It's something many men deny themselves and are shamed from doing in many cultures.

You really should look at the Zac Brown Band - My Old Man. It's just as perfect for a tribute to fathers as this is. I lost my father in 2017, and when this song came out I was not ready. I miss him dearly, and I would love to see them react to My Old Man to see how they feel about it. There are so many things I'd love to share with my father like my first born, my new job and the many other things since he's had passed.

@@TRYBALS I wonder if the person meant your relatively new studio set (which is absolutely beautiful and welcoming) - maybe not "new channel" - ? Whatever the case, it was worth pointing out your channel is 2+ years old now. I've been subscribed almost since the beginning and am always excited when a new video is posted. Thank you for keeping at it; I know it's a lot of work. I'm also subscribed to your own channel (Adnan Reacts) where you get to explore many interests of your own that might not be appropriate for the Trybal channel...though I think you find some things along the way that you are able to share. Anyway, love to you and all involved.

I believe I was more emotional necause his Dad is the ine who oushed him to go onto American Idol. Music was his Dads dream for him. He also says he can still hear his Dad harmonizing with him. But now he's doing a duet with a new partner. Because his Dad was his duet partner. Plus these are James words written to his own father He didn't loose him but ue can kinda relate and I'm sure they talked about it during rehearsals. He came so far on the show at that point and it was his Dads idea. Likely overwhelming amd hus Dad wasn't there to see it.

I'm so sad because unless Ian addresses his morbid obesity, he's going to die in a matter of a few years. This is NOT being personally critical: this is a medical condition that requires help. He's too beautiful a person ~ and a talent - not to do this. This was beautiful and tragic to watch. I love the people in your videos and wish I could meet you all.
