As a former Irish step dancer myself it pleases me to see foreign people react to our dancing. If you would like to see an older, less flashy but more traditional form of Irish dancing then you should see the youtube clip from 1972 featuring Celine Hession & Donncha O Muimhneacháin.

Another group/channel like this got it wrong too, Riverdance is the name of the dance group not the dance style, that’s Irish dancing (: which is similar to tap dancing, and it’s MUCH older than 1994, this performance is from that day but Irish dancing is from the 1600s/17th century His dancing and leaps, she/her refers to females, he/him is for males and other genders generally use they (third person) (: “Women love to dance anyway” it has nothing to do with gender(: but maybe in their village it does They’ve got special shoes actually No, not a couple, just dance partners, never really got along either because he let it get to his head thinking it’s all for HIM and everyone is there for HIM even if it’s for the both of them and all of them Thanks for showing them and have a good weekend!

1st off, this IS Riverdance, yes it's the name of the company but it is also unlike traditional Irish Dancing in many ways and as such is an off-shoot and therefore a dance style of it's own. Secondly, many languages have different ways of expressing feminine and masculine words, in Hindi the word for him and her are the exact same ( usey ).
