@@sabineevers5577 It was a pleasure for me also to respond to a comment from Germany. I also grew up in a small pretty city. It was in Radolfzell am Bodensee. I so much like to remember growing up there. On clear days we could see Austria and Switzerland and sometimes we could get a gleams of the Bavarian Alps. I loved growing up there and I have so many good memories. I will never see my homeland again, due to my health problems that creep up on you when you get older. I often listen to German music, but what gets me, I hardly remember hearing them. I was a child, what did I do? My Mother dragged me often to operas and I so disliked opera. Or classical performances. Like Beethoven, and all the old dead geniuses. Guess my Mother didn't listen to popular music of that time. As soon as she turned on the radio and I heard opera being played, I disappeared to go and play out site. I remember few popular songs being played on someone else's radio. After I became old enough, I left home and went to stay with my middle sister that lived in Duesseldorf. In Radolfzell I had never seen an American. That part was and still is occupide be the French. They actually didn't destroy much of that land as long as the farmers gave them food. To me Radolfzell was such a pretty very clean looking small city. When you grow up somewhere, you seldom left the place. Everybody seemed to stay put. After I met Americans, I married one to the objection of my mother. I was the youngest of 5 siblings and when ever I met a man from another country, I was always forbidden to date any of them. But when love hits you, you don't care about your mothers wishes anymore. I was old enough to make my own decisions. She no longer could forbid me whom to see or date. My American husband always told me that I was beautiful. I never seen myself as that. After his time in Germany came to an end, I moved with him to the States, not speaking any English. I am self taught in just simple every day words. I had such a big culture shock coming to the States. To me Americans live to fast. Nothing is done slowly here. I was in awe over the super markets here. In Radolfzell I went to a bakery shop to buy bread, or a butcher shop to buy our meats and wurst. Here you can buy all those items in one store. Sundays every store is open. People go shopping till late at night. Some even stayed open 24/7. I actually regretted coming here quite often. My marriage didn't last long. Only 7 years. My then husband changed his personality. He became obsessed with me, trying to tell me what he wanted me to wear and how long my shopping should last. After 7 years I had enough of that. No man is ever going to tell me what I could wear. He came from Ohio and I lived there for about 9 years. I met my other husband there, but his work took us to Texas. Been here ever since. After 33 years of being married to him, he died of cancer. I loved him so very much and my whole life changed after God took him away from me. I became a recluse. My oldest daughter lives with me now for the last 18 years. I never remarried, didn't wanted too. I'm still very much in love with my departed husband and will be till its my time. I want to be buried beside my husband. Oh WOW, I sure told you a lot about myself. Guess that comes from loneliness.. Forgive me for talking so much. I would write in German, but I forgot many German words and I don't have the opportunity to speak my own language. As a child I watched many American western movies in Germany. They always seem to take place in Texas. They always looked so romantic and pretty. When we drove through Texas to go to Nevada, I was shocked what Texas actually looked like. Could not fathom anyone living here. Now look where I ended up living. Texas baby. I think I wrote enough about myself and I'm sorry if I bored you. Have a pleasant and safe day.

@@sabineevers5577 I am so impressed with your knowledge of fancy American words. You still live in Germany, I came to the States and don't know big fancy words. That tells me you had a lot more schooling then I did. I graduated when I was 14 and immediately found me a job. My Mother had sacrificed her whole youth taking care of us. She worked 2 jobs just so she could feed me. My older siblings had left to live on their own. I actually didn't see them often. My beloved mother was everything to me. She was my mother, my mother, a very strict one, she was my Vater, my protector. I never knew my Vater. From what I was told, he died shortly after I was born. I wanted to help my mother, I didn't wanted her to have to work so much. I never wore new clothes. I know how much my mom loved me and I wanted to make her life a little easier. I handed her my whole pay check and I got to keep 50 Pfennig. With that I bought myself Ice cream sometimes, or I spend it going to the movies. Mostly American western movies. I finally got to wear some brand new clothes. My life then was so simple. My mom took me on Sunday walks through our beautiful forests. We always took small buckets with us to collect wild berries. Oh God the tasted so good. very, very sweet. My mouth was often smeared from the juice of blueberries. We picked wild flowers. Wilde Feichlinge, schnee Gloeckchen and small roses that grew everywhere. Every so often we came to a small chapel. We always stopped and prayed. Those adorable little chapels were always decked out with candles and wild flowers. Sometimes my mom took me on a outing to a old castle. We packed sandwiches and Sprudel and sang our hearts out. I was happy then and I will never forget those little pleasures. The trip to an old castle took all day. Birds were singing, the wood peckers were busy pecking holes into trees. We heard the Kuckos speaking to each other. I noticed every little thing and it felled like paradise to me. When I lived there the French still occupied that area. I'm glad to hear they no longer do. As children we often walked by the Franzoesigen Kazerne. My mother of course lived through the last few years of the war. She told me many things about that war. I was to young to understand what war meant. But I remember that she threw me on the ground and covered my body with hers when the sirens were tested. In her mind she thought we were being attacked by bombers. People looked at us strangely. My mom was born in then Danzig Prussia and that city was destroyed by the Russians. She had to flee from there and she ended up in Radolfzell am Bodensee. You would not believe what I found out after I came to America. My children asked me one time, Momma did you ever meet your grandparents? When my oldest sister called me once a month, I asked her if she ever met our grandparents. I was totally shocked what she told me. Guess I was lied to all my growing up years. My mom was the 23th child of her parents. Her mother died giving birth to her. Her Vater could not afford to keep her and gave her to an older childless couple. I couldn't speak for several minutes I was so shocked hearing that. I asked my sister why was I never told this? Her answer was, my mom wanted me to be protected and I was to young to hear a story like that. I asked her, why was I not ever told after I became an adult. My mother wanted it that way. I got very angry for being lied to all my life. As a child I never asked questions. I found it natural to just have a mother and no other relatives. I was told once I did asked my mom shortly before I went to the Sates, and she said she was not going to dig up old bones. She always looked at me as her little child and the truth would hurt me. I couldn't let my anger out at my mom. She had passed away. Now I never will find out anything else, because all my siblings also have passed. I have a couple nieces living in Germany, but they sure don't know anything. Well here I went again telling you part of my life. I won't do that anymore. Have a great night. You are most likely asleep be now. Its 11.22 at night here, so have a nice day tomorrow. Alles liebe und gute. Gigi.

Grew up on a farm, and have since leaving it tried to buy food from anywhere but fast food and grocery chain stores. The amount of food they deal with make it so that the process just cannot be healthy, or very humane either. The beef and pork and chicken I eat, my family, I see it with my own eyes grazing, etc. Buy, and send to meat processor. I go help them package it myself often, as it's a small family owned slaughterhouse, they give me good deals.

I have a feeling the flavours of fried chicken offered in Pakistanis and Malaysian KFC and McD restaurants are rather similar. Here in Malaysia, KFC sells Original Recipe (to us, this is the milder version that kids can tolerate) and Hot & Spicy (more heat, thicker and more rough-looking coating, and what many adults prefer. It is not bland. Just spicier.) fried chicken. McDonald's sells Regular and Spicy fried chicken. From this video, it looks like they did get KFC's Hot & Spicy and McD's spicy fried chicken pieces. If this is true, then it is a fair comparison as they did get the spicier versions of each company's fried chicken. Personally, for milder flavoured fried chicken, I would prefer KFC's original recipe, and for the spicy variety, I would choose McD's (it is indeed spicier than KFC's Hot & Spicy). 😊
