Bison meat is a special treat for most people in the USA. It is 2x more expensive than beef because we have much fewer bison than cows. These lovely gentlemen are correct! It is much more healthy for you than beef because it is much leaner with less fat. Very good and has a deeper richer flavor than beef but not as wild game tasting as ox or deer. ❤

Mr Tahir! American Bison or Buffalo are found on grassy Plains, not in forests or jungles. You are indeed all very fortunate because bison meat is something that most Americans never get to have. The meat is high in protein and lower in fat than regular beef and you can always be sure that bison are raised ethically on grass rather than being farmed in buildings and fed grains. So it's also healthier because it's raised better than regular beef is at least here in the West.

I have never tasted Bison either, and it's incredibly popular in Canada. However, I'm not a fan of eating wild game such as bison, deer, moose, etc. Haha crazy I know. My mother tried to trick me once with moose roast, and I knew immediately it wasn't beef. She was shocked I could tell the difference being only young. I just don't like that gamey taste. Love alot of fish, though, especially growing up in BC, Canada, but never had swordfish or catfish either. I don't think I'll ever try them either. In Colorado, bison is commonly available in many places. It's flavor is mostly like beef, but it has a hint flavor to it that is reminiscent of game meat like elk or deer. The flavor is stronger than beef, so it stands out against seasoning a bit more. It doesn't have a lingering aftertaste like some gamey meats, though. Bison seem to always be raised free-range, so that's probably a big part of it.

Bison is particularly American. I have posted comments many times before and I will say it again… it is such a superb service to the world that this channel is sharing our cultures. Due to religious and cultural differences, too often our countries oppose one another. These videos show that, ultimately, we are all just humans. Our daily lives are the same. Work, family, food… just living. And, here, like in this video, we share our foods. Channels like this are a benefit to humanity. Look, I’m not saying a simple channel such as this will solve all of our problems. I happen to be a gay American. I’m going to guess that this concept may not be very acceptable to many on this channel. Mr Gulsher, for example, just finished his pilgrimage. Devout followers of his religion may not be openly accepting of someone like me. BUT… just having an understanding that we’re all fellow human beings and care about one another is progress. Channels like this make that possible, when we reach out to one another. And it’s done in such a simple way… “here, just try some American food”. Sharing our simplest aspects of humanity. It’s perfect. It lets us know that, regardless of our differences, we’re all the same. We all enjoy good food. We’re all just trying to get on in life.

The "BISON" is often confused with the "BUFFALO". Both are members of the "BOVINE" family, although not closely related. Buffalos are very large, prehistoric undomesticated wild animals, although Bisons are even larger. Wikipedia says - "Old World Buffalo ("Cape Buffalo" & "Water Buffalo") are native to Africa and Asia, while Bison are found only in North America and parts of Europe". Other members of the same "Bovine" Family, and the most common are the domestic COW (the female bovine: used for milk, meat, & breeding), and the BULL (the male bovine: used for meat, breeding, protection of the herd, and in some countries for sport-fighting against "Matadors" [professional Bull-Fighters] ). Other Bovines are the domesticated OX (used mainly for pulling ploughs & hauling carts - then meat), and the African and Asian WATER BUFFALO (used just like an Ox, only in hotter wetter climates). Of all these Bovines, the North American Bison is the largest, the strongest, and the most ancient, reaching heights of 6 feet and weighing up to 2,000 pounds - and that's a lot of tasty burgers.
