Neither have I, but apparently the bubbles/balls are made out of tapioca, which I cannot eat, so I won't be trying it. I also heard that if the balls are not chewed, just swallowed, they don't breakdown easily in your stomach and can build up in your intestines, and could cause a blockage. I read a story about someone having to be operated on as they drank a lot of boba tea (bubble tea) everyday and had a severe blockage.

The tribal people should try what we call in America root beer float, root beer is not a beer but root beer is a soda, all you do is put vanilla ice cream in a cup and pour root beer on top of it, if you can't find root beer in your country you can always use Coca-Cola.

Oh man. It's normal and tasty to us Americans, but people who did not grow up with root beer are usually repulsed by the flavor. MIght be a fun one to try in spite of that -- or perhaps because of that. 😁

I came here from Europe in the early 80s and if those outside the US haven’t tried root beer in their teens they wouldn’t like it. I wouldn’t want to insult anyone but root beer has a similar taste to the smell after cleaning toilets.

@@user-es7jr2sv2r A lot of Asian restaurants in southern New England sell it now especially in bigger cities, you can definitely find it in Connecticut and Rhode Island. And when I went down to Washington DC a few months ago there were several food trucks on every street around the National Mall selling boba tea.

I have never had Bobo tea. Not sure what to imagine how it would taste. Seems like, from watching these gentlemen, it must be different to have texture coming through the straw. So, is it not also eaten with a spoon? And what places sell boba teas? I will look to see if there are videos for making at home. I don't like spending a lot of money on food or drinks from others. Especially as I have no clue whether I would like it. Don't like wasting money but I do like to experience different food.

Boba tea is black tea made with flavoured milk and some Tapioca pearls in it. Tapioca is a starch extracted from cassava root, a tuber native to South America. The cassava root is relatively easy to grow and a dietary staple in several countries in Africa, Asia, and South America. Tapioca is high in starch so boba tea is high in carbs.

I want some of that! In SE Tx, this company was trying to open a place for selling these types of teas, so the workers/builders worked for about a year or more. When the place opened without any commercials or some type of coupon to try their product they closed (within 2 months).

it's actually an asian (like them, but east asia not south asia) drink (: "I wish I could replace our harmful black tea (it's not harmful, it's very good for all) with this refreshing chilled tea (which probably has dairy which is horrifically bad for all)" if only you knew... but I understand this is more delicious heh and strawberries also have the most vitamin c! and if in north america, the most pesticides...and I don't know about boba containing iron unless you put iron-rich ingredients/foods in it, normally it heh but nice! I love boba, too bad I can't get it more often

You picked the wrong base and tapioca pearl. There's also a smoothie base that can be used. Not to mention that there are various types of tapioca pearls now. A popular one at a place I went to had "popping boba" where the pearls had flavors inside them.
