The wonderful thing about rice is you can do so many things with it, and it lasts for a long time in your pantry. When I buy potatoes, I have to eat them quickly, because they start growing arms and legs if I don't. But I can keep rice in my pantry for many years, as long as it is in a tightly sealed container. I think just about ever major cuisine has rice dishes.... Chinese, French, Greek, Indian, Moroccan, German, Thai, Mexican, Italian... you name it, they use rice.

Just yesterday I went 46 miles to Mayfield Heights, Ohio to shop at a specialty computer store they have there. It was a good excuse to eat at one of the Jamaican restaurants they have nearby. My second choice is the white rice they use at very good Sushi restaurants. Not sure how Chaudhary would like Sushi but he would be missing something if he failed to try it.
