@@mfzig7266 what are you on about mate, no ones running out of real food, it’s not like oil where there only so much in the earth, you just grow more food, western countries haven’t had a majorly devastating food shortage in years and modern farming is advanced enough to mostly avoid things like diseases wiping out crops or animals. The reason so much wester (especially American) food is artificial is because it’s cheaper to make and saving those few pennies is the only thing that most big businesses care about. In fact this year many countries have been facing the problem of having too much food, with the pandemic restaurants and other businesses haven’t been buying food or at least haven’t been buying in the same quantities as usual, this resulted with farmers having to destroy there own crops because they had too much food. The world is not running out of food.

The benefit is being full slightly less long than a home-cooked meal, without the labor of cooking for a hot meal. I work 45hrs a week being a kid's sports coach and I'm exhausted ALL THE TIME. Standing in front of the stove after a 9 hr day on your feet and in the sun is not a nice thing to do. But there are plenty of people in these comments like "all yall got are excuses"...or explanations when most things are a racket, including our survival needs.

In the late 70's I had an uncle come visit (Central California) from Germany. He was a chef in Cologne. We took him to a McDonald's which was still kind of new. He was not as impressed with the Cheeseburgers. He liked them but mentioned they were fairly basic. However, he absolutely LOVED the french fries. He was quick to point out "they're not French" but he absolutely LOVED them. By the time I went to visit Germany a few years later, there were French Fry stands (Pomme Fritz) everywhere.

I just can't get over how amazing these men are. They're so polite and fantastic. I spent 3 1/2 years in the Middle East over 4 deployments and really miss the local food in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. The gentleman with the mustache is right though, bread is so addicting. I love all types of bread and the flat bread they make in the Middle East is delicious with hummus.

I love these interested reactions of people, when you bring some kind of food, sweet, or snack, hey had never seen before. In the (2) last years in January, in my birthday, I always find some website, where I can order something tasty from, for example from Japan, Russia, or US, and offer it to my parents, grand moms, sister, and some friends. It's always a beautiful moment of surprise, what they will tell about it. This year, I ordered Japan/Asian sweets. I offered my dad a mochi cake, which I had in our Slovak capital. He never seen it before, and he was pleasantly surprised by the mochi "doe" softness, and it's taste. J
