Texture is what makes Oatmeal cookies so delicious. A million other cookies are to similar. A different texture stands out as special and different.

​@rlt9492 That's what I was thinking. Certainly it's more homogeneous than a typical (lumpy bumpy textured) whole oat cookie. But it also looks like it's predominantly made with wheat flour rather than 100% oat flour.

That doesn't look like an oatmeal cookie, I don't know what you made this with, but there's no oatmeal in that cookie. This cookie is too white and even looking. Oatmeal is browner in colour and lumpier. This cookie is too smooth looking. Looks like a sugar cookie.

​@@BearStar1Depends where you live. In the US, our word "cookie" (derived from early German settlers) is the same thing as the English (and most British Empire places) "biscuit." Our "biscuits" seem to be our own (New World colonial) invention....that may be derived from English scones.

I love oatmeal cookies and no way these are them. Oatmeal cookies are dark brown and lumpy. These are very light and smooth. So, obviously there is no brown sugar which is absolutely necessary for flavor and no oatmeal.
