When I was a kid, (Phoenix AZ here) my mom would make tuna fish sandwiches with Fritos or potato chips layered on top of the tuna fish. I think I'm going to go make a sandwich now, lol. Love y'all!!

I find it amusing that the UK was represented by the humble chip butty, but you know, why not ? Humble doesn't mean bad and whatever the cuisine, wherever it is, it's root is from humble beginnings. Sometimes we all just like something simple, tasty and unpretentious. Glad they liked it.

Loving the fact they got chip butties! We don't usually toast the bread though, it is plain and buttered, which adds a better taste to the potatoes. Brown sauce or ketchup, some people have mayo, but salt and vinegar is great too. Dip it in what you like, it's a great quick snack that will fill you up for a little while!

I am watching this while eating a sandwich! Italian bread, with chicken cutlet, mozzarella cheese, hot sauce, and bbq sauce; it is delicious. When I was in Italy last week, I had this incredible sandwich with zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella! Sandwiches are the best!

It would've been awesome if they were served a BLT, using turkey bacon of course. Classic American sandwich best enjoyed in the summer due to fresh tomatoes and lettuce.

Chips are also great on roti or naan, especially with a little curry sauce. I love how cultures can blend, locally I make rotis with waterblommetjie (a local edible water plant) stew in winter. SOuth African Gatsby is usually made on a giant long bun, maybe 30cm or so, but thick.... too much for all but a young man.

@TheShootist It's like Katsu curry. We, as in the Brits, have it with our chips as condiments like ketchup. British cuisine has taken to its heart all the wonderful food from our SE Asian friends. Our favourite dish is a curry updated to suit a less spicy taste.

We wouldn't usually toast a chip butty, and we'd put salt, vinegar and ketchup/brown sauce on it, but I bet it tastes good anyway! In Scotland we call it a "piece n chips"!

I had to look it up because I'd never heard of a Cemita and one of the things the Wikipedia page said was that it was served on a roll covered with sesame seeds. LOL Maybe it's a thing in Puebla, but not in other parts of Mexico?

That was not a chip butty!...It should be white bread, NOT toasted!. Buttered with huge amount of deep fried chips and a good amount of quality ketchup!....But a good BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) with Mayonnaise, salt and black pepper is also a good British sandwich!

Wishing Mr. Nadeem a speedy recovery! But that was not even close to a bahn mi sandwich. I can forgive not using proper pâté for dietary reasons, but for me it’s about the kind of bread you use. You must have a soft fluffy baguette!

They could have used a chicken pate and any bread roll that was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I go to my local bakery and get whatever crispy roll they have for any type of meat and salad roll, but do love pate on a crispy fluffy rolls with lots of butter. I'm not a fan of the Vietnamese pate, which I thought my favourite little Vietnamese place I go to was using in the Bahn mi I've had. After I bought a can of the Vietnamese pate, I found out that they were using a liverwurst. Our chooks liked the Vietnamese pate, nobody in our house liked it.

No French Fry sandwiches for me. I have tried French Fry and Macaroni and Cheese pizzas and double starch is too much. lol . I might like the Gatsby version better.There are many sandwiches with that thin meat,it is called "shaved" or "deli style".I love a super thin sliced roast beef piled high sandwich with horseradish sauce but that might be a bit much for the gentlemen,the burn is different than hot peppers,more like Japanese Wasabi.

You must make them the Elvis Presley Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich and grilled the same as Grilled Cheese Sandwich. White Bread, like Wonder Bread. Peanut Butter on both sides. Banana in middle. Not PB&J. This is the Elvis Presley (King of Rock & Roll in the 1960's) Grilled Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich. His Mom made them for Elvis. They were poor, living in Mississippi, had nothing else to eat. It's a FAMOUS sandwich in Southern US. 😊
