In 1992-3 Kuki - naga conflict, the kuki seek protection from Meitei and in the sense of their safety and shelter, meitei help them by giving them shelter for their comfort.But instead of answering the good deeds that they have shown in a respective manner now you answer them back by showing violence against them by hurting and burning their houses and belongings.This is not how you should solved things by burning those houses of small group of meitei who stayed in your places(kuki-Dominant area).Just because of some opportunities that comes under ST let's not conflict the bond between us- Manipuri, keeping in a positive view let's hope that this matter can be discussed without violence.🕊️

Today Evening, kuki in Manipur have attacked PEACE LOVING MEITEI community with arms & guns demolishing temples, shops , burned down villages to ashes, killing so many peoples and not even sparing a 1.5 years old BABY which home is BURNT down when the child is in deep sleep. And even chopping on the forehead of Meitei who try to prevent his house from burning with the cleaver by the kukis . Kuki have organised a so called " PEACE RALLY" in some parts of hill areas today, specially in Churachandpur. But after the rally they came down with large number of peoples with SOPHISTICATED WEAPONS in their hands, all the way to Torbung( where MEITEI reside) which is almost 15 km with an intention/ pre planned strategy to make communal clash with MEITEI. And this is the sole reason on the violence erupting in MANIPUR.

I don't know why some native inhabitants are so much mean as well as narrow minded. And this happens with every state. But not on this scale. In other states there are hardly any people in possession of Assault Rifles illegally, this shows the quality of your tribe and how much peace loving you're especially when it comes to reaping fund benefits from central government as a state of India. India is a single country, a citizen can wish to settle anywhere in India normally. But some communities are so insultive and mean minded calling people from other state refugees. People coming from Myanmar, Bangladesh, etc are refugees, interstate movement doesn't make you a refugee. And the aggression against refugees is understandable only when refugees are doing something bad to urest the natives. As they have become refugees they have also lost a lot and came to foreign lands to survive against their will. I can understand when people say these lands belonged to our ancestors we won't let others live here. Well the time is different, your ancestors aren't living now, they're long gone and they're never even Christians. It is you yourself have violated a lot of your own rules made in the times of your ancestors, I believe. If your mentalities are centuries old you're gonna have problems everywhere, everytime.

The problem is that 90% of the so called Kuki tribes are now composed of illegal immigrants from Myanma. The clash between the Nagas and the Kukis decades ago was because the latter encroached lands and killed many Naga innocent civilians in the process of illegal land grabbing in hill areas. Now, here in Churachandpur district of Manipur, they are not the only inhabitants but the Kuki community is dominant in this district. They have illegally build settlement areas in the core areas of reserved forests so, recently those illegal housings were taken down by the efforts of Manipur government including other illegal settlement areas in different parts of Manipur regardless of what community they belong. Many other communities doing the same were made aware beforehand and then housings in those restricted areas were taken down. Again many farm lands in the hills of this district have been turned into poppy plantation areas by the Kukis so recently the government officials including police force have destroyed a few of the poppy fields as a step to counter drug terrorism that would severely affect the internal security of India. Yesterday on the pretext of rally, they burned down houses and temples of the Meetei inhabitants in CCpur district by the mass, some of them (Kuki) even heavily armed with AK47 rifles (there are evidence in videos) and killed some Meeteis. Then the Meeteis retaliated and killed some Kukis. This is how the violence and unrest started and is still going on. The very need for the hour is that the Central government need to take some drastic steps to combat and counter this illegal immigration and drug terrorism which is getting out of hands. The internal security should be prioritized so that our nation remain peaceful and unified. Also the social unrest which is rampant now should be taken care of immediately and effectively before the smouldering fire becomes a raging fire.
