So back story to Run BTS, they were pretty much the first artist to start a variety show on their own/ much like the vlogs on youtube because since they were from a small label they didn't have the money or the 'ins' to get onto the major cable stations like the larger labels did *cough SM cough*. Starting their own variety show and vlogs helped give them exposure and ultimately a large international following because fans of the group would translate for international fans. AND STILL DO in realtime! WE LOVE OUR TRANSLATORS!!! Thanks for watching these, Run BTS is such a happy space for ARMYs and fyi the next episode is a 2 part and the subs are messed up on episode 6 part 2 if you are watching from the official channel Bangtan TV. no.. it`s not. there were a lot of idols before bts. and there were a tone of their own variety shows. but Run BTS is best I know that. there is many exaggerated rumors. Don`t accept everything.

@@bb-us3kb I'm not too versed in all gen kpop, but I was referring to BTS doing their variety show with their own company and not with a cable show behind them. I know of many earlier groups who had their own variety shows, however those were backed by a network and not an inhouse only production. However I will say again, I could be wrong, but that was my original statement of being first inhouse production variety show. I don't blindly follow what ppl say, I do try to research on topics myself. TY

​​​​​​@@Sathom They weren't the first artist to do vlogs on KZbin and such. Almost all JYP artists had their own vlogs way before them. Real2PM, RealGot7, RealMissA, etc... It's likely where Big Hit initially got the idea since they were close with JYPE (comanaged 2AM). Vixx also did vlogs, VixxTV. BTS also had two MNET backed variety shows in their first two years. Rookie King and American Hustle Life. ARMY used to joke that they were MNET's step children in BTS's early days because they had so much interaction with MNET. There was so much MNET content of them compared to any other 2013 rookie group. Even Run BTS was initially obviously Naver backed because Naver was using BTS to bring users to the VLive app/site.

A short back story to Run BTS. Initially, they started with the plan of running only 10 episodes. However, ARMYS loved it so much, they decided to make it a regular show. You'll notice a big time jump between episode 10 and 11 (1 year!).

@@dysmissme7343 also, the couple of variety or game shows they did manage to get on, the guys were mistreated and talked down to and on a couple RUDE on Korean TV Live. So Big Hit stopped it and Runs BTS came out of it. and was such a success they made more, lots more, Plus In The Soop, a stay cation, and from that Bon Voyage was born. They are all well worth watching and some of the best TV I've seen . They are a special group of guys.

Their first like, 10 episodes were a little awkward, but still hilarious. Mind you, this was their very early days and one of their first variety shows, so they were still figuring out the direction of the show. Didn't take them too long though--it's a whole hit. Very entertaining. If I can watch other people watch episodes I've seen at least 3 times already, it must be something good lol (I'm also a simp for them though, so . . . ) Zombie episode is 24, so stay tuned! ;)

Obviously, they're going to have grown from the time they started until now. I was just pointing out that the beginning of the show might feel a little awkward at first compared to what it's become.

They were very young, basically teenagers for most so it makes sense that the way they acted back then was a lot more chaotic than now. I feel like their humor is way funnier now and I'm more entertained by the more later episodes, they are obviously more chill cuz they are grown adults now, but it's funnier for some reason.

yasss! as I was watching you react to compilation videos I just knew Run BTS would be your sort of thing. I've yet to watch this full video but I can assure you the first few episodes are very loopy (I say this with all my love for baby bangtan boys) but around the episode 20-30s it really picks up at a comfortably entertaining pace!! you should do a full day marathon on twitch or something lol

Run BTS is really a very fun show. You will see the tannies tricks, spying and betraying each other. You don't need to start on the 1st episode, when i was starting this rabbit hole, i watched the recent ones. For me, the most chaotic and betrayal episodes are 79-80, 118-119. I just wanted to let you know the quality gets better with Run BTS because they literally gain more money. Remember BTS and their company Bighit, literally started with very little money and almost went bankrupt. So, you will see quality of things get better and better as they gain more money. However, for what they had they did amazing, well with what they had.
