The applause for Earl Spencer dies down and there is a hymn, 'Make me a channel of your peace':
Make me a channel of your peace:
where there is hatred let me bring your love,
where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
and where there's doubt, true faith in you:
O Master grant that I may never seek
so much to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved, as to love with all my soul!
Make me a channel of your peace:
where there's despair in life let me bring hope,
where there is darkness, only light,
and where there's sadness, ever joy:
O Master grant that I may never seek
so much to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved, as to love with all my soul!
Make me a channel of your peace:
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
in giving ourselves that we receive,
and in dying that we're born to eternal life.
O Master grant that I may never seek
so much to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved, as to love with all my soul!
Make me a channel of your peace:
where there is hatred let me bring your love,
where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
and where there's doubt, true faith in you.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey, then leads the Prayers. His job on the day was to offer words of healing and there was no back biting or negativity and he only spoke of the good things about Diana. I think the Archbishop did his job superbly that day. He's a very good public speaker while still retaining the air of an English village vicar.
The prayers continue in Part 19...

All these years later, I still have tears and sorrow for this lovely woman, the radiant Diana, loving mother so mistreated by her ex-husband, his adulterous partner, his cold family. I hope Prince William becomes king and those responsible for her death realize their part in trying to mangle the beautiful wings of an angel. I will recall the amazing good deeds she did,

Oh Lady Diana the Rose of England who brought a nation down to tears that the world mourned a tortured soul that will continue to give hope to those suffering that only she could. Goodbye England’s Rose 🌹

It was the saddest day in history to me even 20 years later. What she said about AIDS that you can touch and hug them god knows they need it. I will never forget her.

Princess Diana's brother gave a Beautiful Eulogy for his sister she really loved her and the world loved her too and it was so beautiful for him to say that you was a wonderful woman she had two boys that really needed her and that his family what's going to be there to protect them that's what family is all about such a beautiful woman to die is such an early age and I still say the monarchy was very jealous of her she was a very loving woman it's too bad that Charles was so much at the Camille you got her and show her it's better that you can never love Diana the way you love her

The first time I watched and listened to this part of Princess Diana's funeral service. The prayer was wonderful and the words could comfort people even though it was so hurtful to let the princess go, she was and she is still a princess of people's hearts. She is still in my heart.

Sebastian Temple was deeply touched to hear this rendition of his translation of the prayer of St. Francis. He died in Arizona less than 4 months later. He was a good man who embodied the words of this song.

Princess Diana's death stunned me because it was a few days after my 19th birthday I'll never forget the next morning I woke up in Michigan and she had passed away tears flowed down my face because she was a beautiful woman taken from us too soon but she would be so proud of her son Prince William who has turned out to be such a wonderful father knowing Diana's legacy continues to be with him everyday and I thank Diana for making the sons she had made Prince William and Harry continue to be the best they can be.

Dear Friend, Hello, The choir sang this majestic song very well, the members were both professional and informal and sang with zest and zeal, the conductor was just as simple, without any pompous vain actions. The ending of the song was purely heavenly with the descant descending from heaven itself. Truly wonderful for Diana's life . Franklin Samraj- Spicer, Pune India.

ALL THIS IS HEAVENS , HEAVENS , WHERE DIANA RESTS . WHAT SHE DESERVES . - AWAY FROM ALL THESE PROFANE APPROACHES TOWARDS HER AND HER INNOCENT ACTITUDES . - ALL THESE WORDS , ARE DIVINELY INSPIRED , ONCE WORDS ARE SO DIFFICULT TO FIND WHEN IT COMES TO DESCRIBE PERFECTIONS . - IN GRATITUDE , ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY . - GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU . AND YOUR NATION .
