'Tribes of Melbourne' is an early 80's documentary on the Melbourne punk scene. It was written and directed by Tina Mc Quade and produced by Steve Goddard.

I'm having to explain punk in an Australian setting to a bunch of 12-16 year olds who've never heard anything punk in their lives... This is immensely helpful, man I love primary source!

Depends who you ask, we had The Saints at the same time Ramones was doin their thing so its not like it seemed like a huge big new thing when word of The Ramones came around but thats not to say we didn't like The Ramones as well

maceikobrandon83 No, completely different outfit. The Australian X was formed by the late great Ian Rilen and put out three albums in the early 80's.
