May just be me but I prefer the Stormbox blast 1. Has a crisper cleaner clarity in the highs and bass appears more controlled. Stormbox 2 has a muddy shhh shhh sound in the highs and mids/mid bass is more enhanced. This can be EQ’d out I’m sure to personal liking. Both fantastic bang for the buck, thanks for the video!

SUMMARY: they are different sound signatures and proposals! Version 1 is for those who want a box to listen to quality music. with details and more refinement. version 2 is for those who want power and sub-bass to throw parties where detail is not so necessary. In my opinion, it's better to get version 1 to listen to and if you want to throw parties, get a second version 1 unit and pair it in stereo. and since both boxes will cost almost the same price as one of version 2!!!! Version 2, for those who expected an evolution from version 1, was disappointed. because it is not an upgrade. is another proposal.

Only a slight difference between the 2 speakers, but not $90 difference. Currently $240 for the Blast 2 and $150 for the Blast 1. I’ll stick with the 1 for now until they lower the 2 even more.

Now this is what I'm talking about, thanks for this jay Blast 2 in my earphones sounds better when it comes to outdoor projects although the blast 1 sounds good too but the power on blast 2 hits diff the more volume you put in it. Overall both done great job it's up to preference of user and where to use these to beast ❤️

I have the Gen 1, honestly I thought maybe it was a little too bulky.. but now its perfect next to this Gen 2 lol Don't care for the lights.. always have them off.. Overall the first Gen is really great given its price point too. Will not disappoint.

I apologize for the video quality being washed out, but I was in the shadows and it was too dark to read the dB meter and I wanted to be sure that was visible. Apparently this really caused a great disturbance in the force for somebody.. 😂

In this comparison, i like more the encore 😅 Real talk ....the 2 seems very, very warm inside, not that much outside but still there. The 1 is also a warm speaker, had two of them, maybe the 2 is too much. I wished deeper bass, cleaner sound for the 2. But my wished were not heard 😢

I think i'm good on blast 2. But, i wonder how it sounds using the audio jack and in different positions/locations...cuz the jbl bb3 sounds great in certain positions and areas, whereas in other spots the speaker just sounds...not worth even it's sale price

I think the Blast 2 is a more capable speaker, but it's also quite a bit more $$. At higher volume is where I think the bass advantage is really noticeable in the Blast 2.
