I got the same watch in the sale and loved it so much I ended up buying one of their TRI-02 models too! Great review, thank you (only bit of feedback - the focus was off for the first couple of minutes!) Your watch looks great on the rubber strap, I'm sure I've got one lying around somewhere so think I'll give that a go too!

Thanks Grant! I’m aware of the focus, I actually broke my normal lens and this older lens is a “placeholder” unfortunately. But thanks for pointing out since I should have mentioned it. Aren’t they a great value? That’s so cool you got the TRI-02! What color? Thanks for the kind words 👍

@@threehandhunter I picked up the stainless steel TRI-02 on the black rubber strap, although I've since moved onto a Nato - it seems like a real strap monster! Moved my TRI-03 onto a grey silicon strap following watching this and it looks fantastic - not sure I'd have thought to try it had I not seen this so thank you again!

Got a salmon tri-01 at the 70% sale since im a sucker for pink dials. Sadly it went right back to the service center due to a loose screw in the movement. That said, costumer service has been excellent and im getting the watch back today.

Got the same watch as you. 70% off. Due to Watch Chris video. A bit larger than I usually wear. Replaced the stap with a black shell cordovan. Enjoying it.

It’s a little larger than I like too, but can’t complain about the quality! I bet on the shell cordovan it looks amazing. Did you go brown or black?

If you like Christopher Ward ( I do) check out their Malvern line of more dressy/casual non dive watches. I have the 595 and the Grand Malvern small seconds as well as their Quartz Chronograph.

Appreciate your perspective on the identity crisis. I think that we’re seeing more of this style. If you think of the Aqua Terra and a bunch of the Grand Seiko models, as well as Nomos, I think we’re in the age of the hybrid watch…

Very good point! I really would have wanted a small bit of lume. Really my only negative with this watch. But it’s a stunning watch 👍

I got my tri-04 because of Chris and honestly at that price it just can't be beaten. Word of warning the clasp will snag on everything so be careful.

It's a fantastic watch. I think the internal bezel makes it more sports watch. It's a shame the clasp catches as its one of the few flaws but with the price I can afford to get a nice artem sail cloth strap.

Definitely a complete bargain at the sale prices but very confusing as to what exactly is going on at the company. Are they shutting down? Maybe not as they have new releases coming.

I'm not sure either, but they are taking pre-orders, so that is a good sign. I have been involved with startups in the past, and with their margins (at a discounted sales price) they have to sell A LOT of watches to support 3 founders, a father, and whatever other staff they have. They do A LOT of collaborations which (I would think) equals giving away a lot of watches. So, I may not know much, but I sure do hope they stick around. I love the watch, the brand, what they are about, etc.

Pity they didnt made the lume as in TRI01,with 4 lumed indexes and lumed hands,I would pick one up then.Got a yellow 01 only.But Tribus seriously must to manage the brand better,EU customers are charged twice with Vat😏
