The fact that the whole reason Bilbo kept going was because he was homesick and he didn't want the dwarves to feel that way is so..... I don't know. It's so inspiring. He left home and then he wanted to go back home, but then he realized that there was a chance that the dwarves would not have their own home to go to and that's why he kept going. Out of the goodness of his heart.
