Even though he was just a mythical figure, the prediction was correct. Here we are, presumably thousands of years later, watching a famous movie star portray the character in a movie. Even as a fictional character, which may or may not have been based on a famous warrior of the Greek era, that's pretty incredible. Homer's epic poems and stories live on.

i love the martiality of achiles combat style in this movie.. no unnecessary moves, except one or two finishing moves .. but even real martial arts have some flashy moves.. (like muay boran for example).

Troy story is very similar to Rmayana epic where Lord Sam's wife Sita was abducted by demonic king Ravan of Lanka...same as in the Troy story, where Prince Paris of Troy stole the Mycenaean princess Helen where Achilles came to destroy the city of Troy in Trojan war just like how Lord Hanuman burned the king Ravan's Lanka with the army of Lord Ram to get her wife back.

Homer wrote about Achilles in Iliad representing him as immortal. Ofcourse Achilles was a living person during this period as well as his brave army the Mermidones. For sure he wasn't immortal but one of the best fighters in the world history. Maybe the best ever. Homer tried to make his story more epic and a deeper drama by mixing actual characters together with the 12 Gods of Greece. In a few words yes Achilles do exist as well as Agamemnon (we found his tomb) and Hector and Patroclos and Oddyseas and many others.
